Does power actually increase how hard a spell hits or just increase your mana pool? How about intelligence?Or only +damage helps just like in WoW? Thanks.

INT.

For mages, INT also affects size of power pool.

There are a few things that effect how much dmg a pure caster will dish out. The main stat int does effect how much dmg a spell will do as well as the available power pool, there is also the level of the spell in relation to the mob as well as the quality of the spell. There is some gear that does add to spell dmg but it is normally not seen untill higher levels.

Ok, thanks. So power does absolutely nothing for DPS but only adds mana pool? I have been looking for +power gear and I am obviously wrong. The word "Power" is a bit misleading. I always thought bigger power, harder hit. I didn't care for INT because in WoW int does nothing for DPS except for deep arcane mage.

In WoW, 1 stamina adds 10 HP, and 1 health is just HP.

Not sure about that article - I've never watched the stat cap information that closely. I'd check the guardian boards - they're most likely to be watching stat caps and hard/softcap conversions.

When you're talking about stamina, I believe what class you are also has a bearing on how much health you get per stamina point. Fighters get more than mages, for example.

As for Intelligence, it affects ALL spell damage. This means that high INT is good for classes that use poisons, which are classed as spell damage.

If you hover your mouse over each stat in the Persona window, you will get roll-over text describing what each stat does.
