View Full Version : Please lower the people-limit it takes for an RoK zone to instance.

Fens, with 60+ people, starts getting VERY laggy.  A quest to hunt blue mobs takes twice to three times as long because CAs take so long to cast that you have to be much more careful what and where you fight.  I'm sure this is similar with other zones.100+ people were in Fens earlier and the zone did NOT instance out, why not?

its a simple fix though, let the zones instance out more like Kylong. I'm in fens 2 with 80 [Removed for Content] people.

They let over 100 people in Kylong and Karnors too.

Question is whether instancing is done because of server load or simply because too many people in one zone would interfere with each other too much. If new instances are put on a seperate server it will help to decrease lag. If however all instances are still on the same hardware, I don't see much of an advantage of putting less people in one instance. The server still has to handle the same amount of people plus more mobs and zone data.I agree though that something has to be done. The whole weekend I had around 0,5 seconds of lag in the Fens on anything I did. As a scout who relies on positional and stealth attacks that weakens me considerably.

Can we get some sort've a response that you've read the post, folks in red? Maybe a no? hopefully a yes? A we're working on the problem?I just logged into Fens to find 87 players on. I'm logging off until 6 or 7 when the zone instances out, and even then there will only be two fens(it won't instance further).This combat art lag is insane, and not fun.
