Yes.. It's been uncovered. But that's the least of the importance. The Ya'lei or whatever those fish men are called have taken liking to the old Shissar stomping grounds, and have adapted the entire city to house a false-diety that they believe has replaced Prexus.. since he hasn't returned like the other gods.I will reply back ASAP with it's name, but Chelsith is one of the end game persistent instances in this expansion.. can someone serve us up some old school Chelsith lore while I try and find some newer lore?

Well, that's just the thing: There really isn't any previous lore to Chelsith. It didn't exist as an area in EQlive, so we never got to explore further into it.

All we know is that it used to be the capital of the Shissar Empire before they moved to Luclin, and supposedly, the outpost at the Overthere in EQlive was built over it.

From what I understand, the port city of Danak is now where that outpost in the Overthere existed.

Reading up on it, Charasis was actually built on top of Chelsith. There's a bit of proof on the EQ1 forums that I'll link to in a bit I guess.. but all I know about Chelsith was the massive library they had in there supposedly.. and a quick clip from an Iksar in Plane of Justice I think..

I was adventuring in the Jarsath wastes or what ever during beta and i am more than certain that i found a zone in into a small portion of chelsith. My mind is a bit foggy but im pretty sure that the name of the zone had chelsith in it. There wasnt really any thing in there except 2 large clay guardians that were 80ish. I didnt go any further that that but if you want to check it out, the zone in is in the Howling Stones inside one of the buildings built into the walls of the gorge or whatever you call it.

The tale told by the iksar who was sent to the Plane of Justice for his treachery can be read here. I know I liked the story. I liked the Plane of Justice just because I could go around and listen to some of the stories of the various prisoners there.

I'm not sure what it's name is, as I have not had a chance to look inside, but the false god of those fish things is a Behemoth. I believe it was a dev who stated that, but I could be mistaken. From what we know, it is one of the last of its kind, and the Behemoths are believed by some to have been here before Veeshan seeded the planet with her brood.

As was stated, all we really know is that Charasis was located in the Overthere (some speculation on where exactly. Some believe it was the old port, others believe it was where Charasis is, in all reality, we really don't know...Until now!), and was the capital of the Shissir Empire, like Cusa said. They no doubt had libraries and vaults filled with tomes and item the which no mortal still living has ever seen. The Shissir were the first race to master planar travel, and we truly don't know who their creator was, though some believe it to be Veeshan. Much of the Iksar society and magics were based off what they had gleaned from being the food, fodder, and slaves of the Shissir.
