The Drovarlg(sp) near the dock are great...the only problem is when they break they pack a mean punch!I have not gone much past this area on my Fury so I can't comment too much on the other zones.Crex The FuryKilbane the Swashbuckler

I believe the drolvarg ravager is a nice mob to charm (i believe its the ravager/savager) kp

the burynai baublefinder (bellywhumper area) are very nice to charm and buff up can also animal form this mob

the wasp mobs (they summon multiple little wasps which get hit by fae flames when cast meaning quite nice dps) and burynai detector (mage/necro mob sometimes with pet can also be animal formed) are nice to charm in the jungle area

In wastes the ambushing rhino and stonegazer chickens are nice to charm

I have the charm but I never use it, I just wanted the healing aa :p I don't think it's worth 3 concentration.anywho, I see a lot of furies charming the tigers and puma type mobs that are all over the place in Fens.

It's decent for soloing, you lose nothing by dropping your hp and mit buffs. If yer charming stuff you aren't wanting to tank the mobs anyways (Hell even if you aren't charming you should be root/nuking on a lot of mobs...hit obscenely hard in Kunark). Also, just curious, are only certain drolvarg charmable? I've tried on a few types with no luck.

I spent about 6 hours yesterday on killing mob quests that I could have done in 2 or 3, but I was having a blast with my pet Sasquatch so it didn't bother me a bit, on the contrary, I never wanted it to end!

Ya I like being able to charm but the 3 conc slots needed imhp to still needs to be changed especially if the stuff is gonna break early. For 3 conc slots should be near unbreakable as it is I charmed, it broke after 3-4 mins and 1 min after I recharmed. Just easier to root, nuke and heal myself then after worry about rooting two mobs when the charmed pet breaks, and besides the pets sux anyways after you charm, they hit nowhere near what they would if uncharmed.

Once I reached 5 points in charm I found that it didn't break that often. Now that I have 7 points I don't hardly see it break. Remember if your subj skill is low it will break alot just like root/snare. I keep the target rooted/snared to keep agro on the pet once I steal agro. If charm breaks remember to keep mez handy since it has a cast time of 1.5 secs compared to 6 secs.

I find that the charmed mobs hit fairly well. The 69-70 drovlargs hit for 500-700 a shot. You can use it as a long term high damage dot once you steal agro.

I have never used the charming feature until ROK. These mobs hit hard and interrupt often. This is so not a caster friendly expansion. I am willing to give up my vim and increase hp buff to free up 3 concentration slots, so the charmed pet can take the beatings instead of me. In KJ I have been using the leeches. Their stun effects have helped a ton and allowed me to nuke and get a few melee whacks in. Then again, I charm whatever hits me the hardest or that I find useful for the time being just to get through the tedious questing.

It's kinda weird what mobs are considered animals in rok. I wouldn't have expected drovlarg's to be animals, or Burynai's. I guess they wanted to make a major shift from the virtually no sharmable animals that kos and eof had.I'm pretty basic when it comes to soloing. I just pull with starshower, then nuke and heal. I managed to kill a named rok mob that was a single up arrow and 3 levels above me this way, but I did have to use both instant heals.
