Coming back because all other games with PvP are horrible....questions

<p>Hey all....I haven't played in almost a year and a half. When I left the PvP servers were only a few months old. I tried to read up on the past updates in regard to PvP but could only go back about 6 months. </p><p> Is the overall state of the PvP game better than what it was back in June/July of 2006?</p><p>Back when I left, zonning and Evac was the big issues as well as a lot of unviable classes. Rangers/Brigands and Pet classes were the FOTM at the time. What is the new FOTM? </p><p>I solo a lot due to playing time constraints so I need a class that is self sustaining. But I also like to grp from time to time and want to be of a benefit for a group. </p><p> I really enjoy playing the not-norm race/class combo's and don't really care about city alignment. I prefere Venekor.</p><p>And lastly, how important is it that I have all the expansions?</p><p>Thanks in advance!</p>

<p>1) Not really, somethings are better, somethings are still the same. Hard to comment on what you think is better. Generally however, its more playable, but maybe because those people that nail me in 5 seconds have left venekor <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</p><p>2) Still rangers (see nerf ranger threads!), but wardens now do well solo, they can usually outheal any dmg given for long enough to tired the other person out.</p><p>3) If you plan on PvP at the high end (ie lvl 80) you need em all, saying that, all the expansions are basically free now that ROK is here. You can only buy all the expansions in one box from the shops (a mere £15 (US$35 I guess)), don't know about buying online however, but I believe its the same story.</p>
