This applies for PvE as well as PvP. I have had to re-adjust quite a bit as I am sure many have.

Tinkers are now at a signifigant disadvantage. We have a wide range of items to use and only two slots to put them in. Not only that, but we loose upwards of 24 points in stats by running around with our tinkered items in our slots just so we can use them. Not sure where this change was coming from, as the timer to switch items back and forth was enough to make it a bit too time consuming to really exploit in PvP but then maybe thats just my view.

I can get used to the change, I just feel it takes a bit away from the game. Being a dirge, I love utility, but it seems now that is taken away from everyone, or if your a glass half full person, allowed at a cost.

How has this effected you?

Me:

Tinkered items, see goggles, parachute, snot flinger, etc.

Hex Dolls

Breastplate of Undeath

Pliable Clay Leggings

Cloak w/ safe fall

Jboots

Resist Gear

Dual Wield/Swoard n Board

Ammo

Bow (short vs Long or even Longarm)

Proc Gear

I think thats about it....

the tinkered clickys can be use from your inventory FYI i did it lastnight in combat without equiping it in my charm slot. one of the items Imrefereing to is the FD item, use to have to equip it then use it,now you can just use it. woot

So if anything tinkers made out better no more equip to use, everyone else got hoesed heh

Yeah a lot of the tinkered clicky affects work from your inventory now....I have only tested parachutes so far, but they dont need to be equipped anymore. As far as the clicky effects on armour....imo if you dont want to wear the item for its stats, you shouldnt be allowed to switch in combat just for the clicky effect and switch back. Just seems ridiculous to me. You have out grown an item but the effect is still useful....you need to make a decision on whether the effect > stats on level appropriate gear.

Again, ill deal with it, but im wondering why the change was made...

They made the change to keep us from exploiting the system, by equiping gear only for its temp use incombat then swaping to better stats gear after its temp incombat use was up. I understand but it many ways it still sucks exp for ratongas and the spider amulet but its just part of it i guess.

What gripes me is the 1min delay on everything like reward claims and illusion swaping ect, thats just a pain in the rear and nothign else but wasting my time to take 10min to do something i use to could do in 1 min, but again it to prevent us from exploiting the system..

Do you risk the stats for that clicky buff you love, or do you play it safe and keep the stats? It makes it more strategic IMO before engagement now, deciding what pieces to don vs specific class for what effects. Awesome change, this is the first MMO i've played where swapping gear mid combat aside from weapons has ever been allowed. I mean can you seriously tell me you can take off your pants and your breastplate while someone is wailing on you?

They obviously feel the exploit was also in PvE however which really tickles my brain. Anyway, PvP combat just gets a little more boring and un-creative without the use of other items. Glad to hear the tinkered items can be used from Inventory. That change itself is almost worth the gear change.
