Ok this is getting beyond old and annoying. I have 3 pcs that have ALL been used to play EQ2 since LU 13 I have not recently changed any hardware configurations or modified my OS in any shape way or form. I purchased RoK and this goes for all the PCs every time I click the patcher I get an 18-44!!! hour patch message that auto stops the download every time after starting anywhere from 15 - 45 minutes in. Again the ONLY thing I have done is install the RoK discs. Whats going on here? Anyone else? I am about to delete the dang game and return it at this point.

Further reclicking the download button and or restarting the entire patcher does not make a *$@(($@! bit of difference. Yes I am getting very annoyed. Anyone got a suggestion, or having same problem?

C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest IIOr where ever you have it installed, and use Everquest2.exe. You won't be able to see anything from the expansion other than the character creation, but at least you should be able to complain about it in game. My buddy and myself are doing that now <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />EDIT: Also to note EverQuest2.exe is slow to load so don't just mash the icon cuz you'll have several instance of the game trying to run.

The patch is coming along very slow for me, tho i will add that during the initial patch (from discs not digi download) it said 13+ hours, after about 20 mins it closed and starting installing... what it was installing? i dont know. what i do know is it did this about 3 times before it finally began patching again. the first 2 times it did this install phase; the patcher was saying the install was 1.3gb in size, the actual amount that was installed reached 4gb. then restarted from zero again.what is the point of buying these discs if the patch time is no different, and no easier than downloading the files themselves? a few days into release should not have 5-12 hour patch delays, and multiple installs unless the discs were released with a majority of the content missing.I figured waiting a few days would avoid hassle, but it seems SoE is unable to produce two expansions simultaneously without some sort of compromise in service to paying customers.Tip to those in charge, stagger releases of expansions to avoid upsetting your customers. I know im not the only person who feels this way.

Thanks Cuz, will try that you would think that with a 3Mb per sec download speed a 44 hur download wouldn't happen =(. Yes I am very frustrated getting flashbacks to every EQ1 expansion right now......
