What is the class in EQ2 that you guys feel really represents a players skill? For example, what class is it that when theres a good player, you darn well know it. The class doesn't have to be particularly hard or easy, but rather the curve for skill hits a point where you have to really be good to pull it out of your class. For example, I played a bard in EQ1. Bards were defiantly not the easiest class by a long shot, and by my 2nd time around had taken a lot of buffs to make them considerably easier to play. I played this class a lot and got many compliments, and when watching others I could see the little things that I did that really made the class that much better. I then started to notice other people and what they did that made that particular person ok, good, or amazing. Now this is not a comparison of which class is best, but which one do you think has that exponential curve that at the far end you can just see the skill of the true player the best.

I don't know if there is a specific class like that but I have a few thoughts:

People will definitely know if you are a bad tank or a bad healer.

Good players can make any class shine by going the extra mile when things are going to pieces and doing something that keeps the group alive or accomplishes the group goal before everyone dies; this has more to do with situational awareness and "thinking outside the box" than it does with which class is being played. (For instance, I had an EQ rogue survive an LDoN wipe and was able to find a target i could kill before the time limit expired; I could have just waited for the group to reform, but by running away I actually saved the day (well hour). -- this is not to say I think of my self as a great player, just to give a simple example of what I am trying to say).
