Trample on bow auto-shot?

Just curious if anyone knows if Trample works on your bow auto-shot...  I've been working my longbow into my combat mantra as of late for the extra spike damage.  (kick -> autoshot -> 7 seconds of melee -> bash -> autoshot -> melee -> kick -> autoshot, etc.)  Gleaming Strike, etc. seems to proc on ranged, so I'm wondering if Trample can, too?
