am a level 40 armorer and just dinged guardian level 37

am very curious about blood iron armor ... have looted two pieces of blood iron thus far, one in runnyeye and the other i'm not sure where

why did soe add this armor at level 37, midway between level 32 feysteel and level 42 ebon?

is there other similar mastercrafted armor i dont know about at unexpected levels?

and why is the raw material loot and the recipe books uncommon loot available only in death fist citadel (or so i heard)? surely there is a reason for deviating from the normal pattern

finally, how the devil do i acquire the recipe books? saw them on the market once, for multi plat, and never again since ... if they are an uncommon drop in death fist citadel, and i visit in a group of 6, i will likely have to visit the citadel hundreds or thousands of times to lotto loot the correct book, and surely the zone will be grey to me long before then (even tho i play with combat experience turned off)

Domm, Lucan DLere

The recipes books do indeed come from Deathfist Citadel. But they ain't no-trade so may be found on the broker or even your guild bank. There's a common book, and a rare book for each armour set. Called something like Common/Rare Deathfist "Warborn" armour. Where warborn is but one of the many armours sets.

The armour too, can be found on the broker. But without knowing the name of the specific set can be found the with the search limited by character class, level, armour type, and just searching on "blood". Must be worth clicking it for a looksee at the stats, and another click for a gander at how it looks in the dressing room.

The neccesary Blood Iron Ore can be found in there too, as well as the mines in Zek. I've typically got a couple an hour while running up and down the floors slapping the mooks in there. I didn't know it could be found in Runnyeye too, nice to hear that is the case though.

I dunno why they were added. I'd guess for flavour as much as anything else. They came in a as DFC and to a lesser extent, Zek, got some dev loving with new quests and such. It was certainly a good while before the dressing room and then alternate appearance, but I know I ain't alone in using my blood iron set for that as the Warborn set is gorgeous.
