Bought RoK from Best Buy today, can't access RoK, EoF, or adventure packs

<div>Not gonna lie, i'm pretty [Removed for Content] off.</div><div>After I patched everything I noticed I couldn't make a Sarnak, so I went back to the luancher, clicked prefrences which is when I also noticed it wasn't showing I had the adventure packs nor would it let me download them.  Well whatever I click the boxes that I can and let it patch again.  Go to character select and now not only can I still not make a Sarnak, but the option to make a Fae or Arasari is blacked out too!  Wow, just wow.  This isn't some start up company here... i've read about other people having these issues, but as far as I know i'm the only one who bought the box at a store instead of downloading it.</div><div>Is the problem that I carried over my Trail account when I hit subscribe?  I don't know but i've wasted half the day with this nonsense and now I have to leave for work.  *sigh*</div>

Going from memory at the moment, so steps maybe off a little</p><p>Click on My Account</p><p>Sign in with the correct station id and password</p><p>Select Subscription Info</p><p>Select Everquest 2</p><p>enter cdkey there *NOTE* there are two papers with keys on it, one is the game code the other is the buddy key, make sure you enter the game key</p>

May have already done this...but did you go into the "My Account" section of the station website and enter in the CD key to your station account?I believe the direct link is account.station.sony.com and the option is at the bottom "Enter Activation Code"

Correct, you need to register your key under your account.  I had this same thing too.  I kept waiting for the install to prompt me for it and it never did.  Plus, the geniuses removed the Register Expansion button from the Launch Pad when they gave it the RoK facelift.  So when I didn't have access to anything new, I knew it had to be the problem.

I called my brother who got his copy yesterday and he had the same problem... then he told me one of his friends that plays told him about needing to log in to your station account and putting the CD key in there... I agree that an option to enter your expansion activation code should appear on the main launchpad, or at least instructions as to what to click on.  The download without the expansion is substantial enough that people might think that they are downloading the expansion. I bought the game today at EB Games and while it was doing the update download, since I didn't see anywhere in the launchpad to enter the code, I went to the forums and clicked on my account and was able to enter it there.  Almost entered the buddy code by accident.  There was an "expansions" button on the launchpad but it was greyed out.  [EDIT: I see now that there is a my account button which I somehow missed the first time.]I didn't actually put the disk in.  Is there an option to install just the expansion?  I figured I might just as well download the newest files while I am watching TV.This is the first expansion where I bought and box.  I figure it will be easier to reinstall if I ever need to.  I found it a little anticlimactic in that my original box came with 10 disks.   This all-in-one pack only has 3 disks.  <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />" />
