Older Tutorials?

<p>I'd say approximately 1 year ago, I was browsing these forums and found a GREAT series of tutorials all made by the same person on how to do really good sigs in Photoshop. I learned a ton from those tutorials and was hoping to find them again if they still exist. I went through the tutorial sticky but I didn't see anything about the old ones I used before.</p><p>I've been away from the game for about a year, and I'd like to get going again. The older tutorials I used were very good, and included a lot of little tips and tricks for Photoshop that don't seem to be covered in the current tutorials. Does anyone have any idea about who would've written a series of tutorials about a year ago? As I recall, the writer's personal sig was of a female caster, erudite if I recall. But my memory is a little fuzzy since it has been a while.</p>

Unfortunately the sig forum was wiped clean at the beginning of this year with the forum changes. All of the old tutorials are gone. Can you remember anything else about the post? It's not ringing a bell.

She gave a really good breakdown of how to use some of the tools. It was definitely geared towards beginners. She went into detail on how to adjust opacity, how to use the Layer>Stroke function, how to add a glow to the avatar. She also talked about putting borders around the sig, how to effectively use layers, and basically it was a great Photoshop tutorial as well as a great sig tutorial.

<p>Yep, I'm betting it was Suite's. Did it have a kerra that she used as a model?</p><p>And a confirmation... When they redid the forums, a lot of them were wiped clean. You'll find an older post here or there, but the vast majority of them are gone. Perhaps with some persuasion, she can be prompted to write a new one?</p>

Yep! That sounds very familiar. There was a Kerra female used in her example. Is she still around? Does she still do that? I thought her tutorial was incredibly helpful as a beginner guide.

Suite just came back and was lamenting the fact that she didn't save the tutorials off-line and they are indeed lost in the SOE either, maybe if a backup was kept of those old forums one of the mods would be kind enough to dig these up and post with a stick, couldn't be that hard to copy and paste although I doubt a backup exists

I dunno how active Suite is on these boards, but Suite, if you're reading this, please consider making some new tutorials for us beginners. Or maybe if you dont' want to rehash your beginner tutorials, maybe some intermediate tutorials, or tips on polishing and finalizing a sig to get a great end product would be very nice. I remember your tutorials from before, and found them to be very helpful and insightful. However, I've been away for so long that I've forgotten a lot of what was in them. I don't use Photoshop a lot, so I'm sort of a noob when it comes to fine-tuning a great sig.

Don't forget about the stickied "<a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=372486" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Tutorials and Resources</a>" thread at the top of this forum.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  It has a lot of useful stuff in it that you might find worthwhile, even if Suite didn't write them.  ;-D
