Is the Necro wanted in raids/groups?

I am new to EQ2 and just wanted to know if the necro is a viable raider/grouper?  I solo alot, but I would like to get groups and be wanted in a raid when the time comes.

There will always be at least one spot in any raid for a necro. This is mainly for our power crack abilities (our heart spell). But, we can also rez, and have access to lifeburn and out new level 80 skill. Just make sure to watch your aggro so you don't go splat.
