Hello to all.I have been away from EQ2 for some time, but now that I am back I have a dilemma. I have a Human lvl 27 SK (33rd lvl alchemist) and now that I am reading about the Sarnaks plus the racial changes coming I am getting cold feet if I should continue playing him or start a new race. I really do not mind the road from 1-27 but the alchemy to 33 I would hate to loose. I consider this a necessary evil. Please tell me that I will not regret being Human at high lvels

Wow, you totally messed up there man, the game will suck tremendously for this 'Human' decision. Everyone knows that the best SKs are Trolls!

All Joking aside your fine, some good traditions down the human line. However that being said, if your coming back and you have zero AAs, it may be worth rerolling your SK as lower level quest lines are plentifull and get you a truck load of AAs quicly. Sarnaks also make a pretty good SK. I wouldn't worry about your chemist, you have two choices keep him and level him still, or take up that craft again, with the changes to tradeskilling it's very easy to get to 30 now.

Hehe, you got me there for a second.I do have 25 AAs. I guess I still remember being in groups and people asking me "hey should you not have been a little bigger?", they must have been used to seeing Barbarian and Ogre/Troll SKs. So it is stuck in my mind a little. Since I am starting again thought that maybe I should just go all out. I guess those racials can't make that much difference, although the new hover skill of the Dark Elves looks like a fun utility spell without wings and emo tendencies.

Heh. I am human Sk and I have no problem with him at all. New racial traits are great for any races and works good for SK too especially to work with leadership AA which gives +34 to offensive melee/spell skills and human trait extend that to +41 but to himself only. Ogre and other races are pretty good as well such as 2% innate melee crit+ some defensive bonus of 5. Some got some % on stun resist, etc etc..

What about a High elf SK? just started back up on EQ after a 3 year WoW addiction . I like the way the alt models look for Helves, and figured it would be a rare class / race combo

If you do reroll the road shouldn't take as long. GU40 (RoK) increased the experience you get from 20 to 70http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=392676"Level 20-70 experience gain rate has been smoothed to be more beneficial, and pre-70 quests now pay out more experience!"

You wrote "Level 20-70 experience gain rate has been smoothed to be more beneficial, and pre-70 quests now pay out more experience!"
That actually sounds appealing, but I expect that the speed with which you get AAs has not been increased? And before I stopped playing, it seems I played not for Adventure exp but for AAs...heh love them! They make a huge difference for a SK. Choices, choices.

Also, SKs never say "boo boo." We don't make "boo boos." We may [Removed for Content] up, but "boo boo?" No. If you want to use the term "boo boo" you'd better either be a) Yogi Bear, or b) rolling a high elf swashbuckler or templar.

That is all.

(I'm totally just messing with you, man! )

Nah, SKs are awesome enough that they can say boo boo, it is one of those things that you can do because nobody is going to be stupid enough to ask to be on the receiving end of a harm touch.
