I am excited to go back after work today, and start leveling my 40 armorer again, I grinded out the last couple of days to go from 35-40, and 22-29on my provisioner.

Now that we have the new expansion, has anyone got any helpful hints for a semi experienced crafter?

Heard we only have 3 buttons, are you punching them constantly still? writs good? rush orders semi do-able?

Just want to arm myself for the expensive battle ahead for 40-50 armorer, I think i have harvested only half of what i need. (man ebon clusters are hard to find!!!).

Thanks for your assistance, see you on the crafting channel.

P>S> we have a paladins channel just for paladins, is there one for armorers/provisoners, or any others?

Well we still have 6 TS arts to use (3 durability, 3 progress), but they now auto-level, so you'll always have the top buffs for each. Rather than the mixed-up system of the past, where sometimes earlier tier buffs were more appropriate, the new arts are designed to upgrade smoothly. Also, the power-based arts are no longer %age mana-pool based. They will always use the same fixed amount of power ( 5 power for example), but the benefit (+dur or +prog) gets better as the buff/art upgrades.

The new tradeskilling UI has the 6 buffs on the window, so you no longer need to have a hotbar of them if you don't wish. Whilst the Window has focuss, the buff buttons will respond to the keyboard keys 1-6. If you'd rather use the hotbar, you can still do so by clicking elsewhere to remove focus from the window while crafting. If you need to, the buff buttons can be dragged to swap their positions on the UI's button strip to re-arrange them - though currently this needs to be done whilst crafting a recipe - once changed it is remembered though, so hopefully you'll only need to do it once.

Finally, the recipes no longer have the 4 levels of quality. for the first 3 quality levels you will get only fuel back (for rare recipes you get the rare back), if you complete to the end of the 4th quality level, you get the recipe's product. There are a couple of exceptions to this. Recipes that only had one 'quality' of product, but varying quantities remain the same. Provisioner recipes return fuel for the first 2 quality levels, then 1 product for 3rd quality, and 2 products for 4th.

I think that covers the basics. You'll find the power management game of Tradeskilling is no longer a Min/Max one. You can craft naked and other tricks of you wish, but they are not as essential.

Thanks for that info, i was wondering the same thing. I was afraid to craft with rares but now that its confirmed that you get them back I wont be so scared to.

Also, what about Imbued items? If you dont get the last one do you get the pristine item and the glowy back too?

I'd need to test that to confirm, but I beleive you get the piece of armour/ring/etc that you are attempting to imbue back, but not the actual imbue material (since that is not really a rare), and for hex-dolls and such where the recipe is fashioned from scratch, it'd work like normal (ie you'd get either fuel, or rare root back, depending on wether the recipe is handcraft or Mastercraft). I'll take my Tailor into the land in a bit and confirm.

With your provisioner, you will get fuel back for levels 1 & 2. On completion of level 3, you get one food/drink and on 4 you get two foods/drinks. So it's not as huge a change for provisioners as for others.
