Why something that is priced at 39,99 dollars, such as the RoK expansion, should be costing 37,99 euros?I guess there is a mistake somewhere, given that the conversion is 1.47$ = 1€So the direct conversion is
27.2~ EUR
Add the 20% VAT up to 32,6... it's still robbing us money for a digital download with no added cost.I'd really really like an explanation, but more than that, give me back the money I do not owe you, thank you.EDIT: I just checked, also my monthly sub priced at 15$+VAT equals to 17.62$ which are 12~ euros, yet I pay 13.6€

Change your currency to USD in the account management section and you should be sweet.

It doesn't change the payments I already did, for them I'd actually want a refund of about 7€ for each of the 2 accounts I mantain, plus about 1,5€ for the last 2 subs (since station site was changed) for the same 2 accounts. It's not a lot of money, but it's money, not peanuts. If they consider that money as "money conversion costs" (25% of the xpac cost and 12% of the sub cost?), I guess another company will see my money from now on.

Yeah it's pretty shady I reckon.Luckily I wasn't subbed when the currency changes were made. I would have been stuck paying $22AUD instead of the ~$16AUD I should have been.

Yeah no kidding. Being one of the many who got screwed on preorder i went to see if just maybe, just maybe i would get the digital download, but at 37.99 euros, hell no.

Yes the conversion rate is crazy.

I previously had a pre-order from play.com in UK for £14.99, however because it did not arrive yesterday and had not been despatched I canceled my order and digitally upgraded , buying the Kunark only download via the Sony Station Store. However there the cost in UK Pounds is £25. I bought it anyway. but it makes me wonder. Especially as its $39.99 for the all in one packand the current currency conversion rate of 1 GBP = 2.07 USD Approx. That makes $39.99 = £19.31 Approx. Just something to think about there.

Open a forex trading account and continue to short the dollar. You should be able to buy the everquest franchise within a year or two.

I still have no RoK and i would very much like to see an official clarification on this? Why do we have to pay 10 euros extra when the game price should be around 27.25 euros? No VAT can justify the robbing price, i can get the box some time next week at 29 euros but shouldn't a digital download be cheaper or at least the same price?Yeah i would like to play but there's no way i'm going to pay that price on digital download, it's a matter of principle.Would you pay 58.66 USD for it?

This is why we threw the tea in Boston harbor and created our own money. Too confusing.

That is strange. In all eq games....and well all online games I've played, I've always payed in dollars. Not counting the software I bought locally here in my nearest gaming store, but all my subs and expansions I've payed through the store and my account are all in dollars including the new pre-order expansion. My monthly visa card sheet shows it and I'm european. But we don't use euro though. Here where I live. We use our native currency.

Hmm this sure is interesting,I looked at my payment history and i have been paying with US dollars + VAT too all this time before the changes to the billing system. I was on a little break there just when the system got changed so when i paid my last monthly sub with the new system it was changed to euros. Tbh i really never even gave it a second thought since there was only one payment currency available. Now here's the thing, as Surfheart mentioned there i am able to switch the currency to US dollar and order the expansion with the cost of 39.99 + VAT (7.00) which makes 46.99 dollars. That makes around 32 euros which sure is cheaper than the original 37.99 euros. So i might go with that one, at least the billing system is letting me go to the last confirmation page so i think it actually might let me pay with dollars, just takes the VAT of course but it's like old days and definately cheaper.Might even get to play this evening, omg.Edit: Yep it did accept it, 44 minutes and i'm in baby hell yea.
