I am down at the bottom of Karnor's castle and there is a guy named Xalgoz down there and in the room talking to him is a Mistmoore Emissary. Anyone have any idea what is going on with that?

In EQLive:

Xalgoz was the "final" boss of old Kaesora. Needed to do the Charsis Key:

The first is a vampire's fang. I have heard tales of a vampire who haunts the ruins of Kaesora.

In EQ Live, the Drachnids were created by Mayong for some reason, and killing them will cause you drop faction with MM.

The Drachnid L&L describes where they come from. Najena created a form of giant spider, and had one sent to Mistmoore as a present. Mistmoore used the knowledge he gained from the spider to make the Drachnids, and sent the original spider back with the torso of Najena's messenger attached to it to show her what he could do.

Is that Mistmoore on the box art for Kunark? Kinda strange if it is.. maybe he does have a higher purpose in the expansion.

So Xalgoz moved to Karnor's huh? I wasn't able to explore the place in Beta.

Yeah he is below the jail. Toughest guy in the zone from the looks of it. Thanks for the info.
