"Level 20-70 experience gain rate has been smoothed to be more beneficial, and pre-70 quests now pay out more experience!"

More beneficial to whom?? Any ideas on just what this is going to mean to reaching AA cap? If this "more experience" is anything like the "slight increase in rare drop rate" we experienced earlier this summer, maybe we all should just lock at 10 for a while until it gets sorted out.

And, while I'm waiting for my game to upgrade, what have they done with the other 20 AAs? Using the previous max AA cap of lvl * 1.5 we would have 80 * 1.5 = 120 Maximum AAs reachable.

Did they change things so that AA cap is lvl * 1.75 since 80 * 1.75 = 140?

OR did they do something like removing the lvl cap at 70 so that a lvl 69 toon can have 104 AAs and a lvl 70 can have 140 ?? Holy Gank Squads Batman! One more reason for holding T2 / T3.

You do not get access to the 40 new AA's until level 71... and the AA cap does not apply to you after level 70.

So it's going to be pretty bad then.

Lvl 70 - max AAs = 100

Lvl 71 - max AAs = 140

I'm glad I'm not going there.

Right now, my L70 PVP/Relic fabled Zerker has 8,500 HP.

On beta, my L80 legendary Ranger had 8,900 HP...

I think a L71 would get spanked pretty hard by any L80, especially looking at even the L80 treasured gear, nevermind legendary and fabled. Don't forget all those nice L80 token weapons too...

If anyone wants to waste all that exp finding out, let me know lol.

btw, my Fabled PVP conj on beta had 8K hp hehe

You don't think I'll have 140 AAs by lvl 71? lol

Honestly, all this does is make it harder to compete with already existing twinks, and possibly make it harder to create a new twink.

Think about it. If somone has a T2 twink then they've already maxxed out their AA's and are level locked ... this change isn't going to make them lose AA's or anything. So, they're not losing any power whatsoever.

But a new non-twink is going to level through the tier slightly faster and with slightly less AA's, so he/she will be even less able to defend himself/herself from the twink. I don't see how this is going to hurt level lockers at all. But, if you're an alt-aholic and want to roll a new level-locked twink periodically, yeah, then it's theoretically possible that you may not be able to attain as many AA's, but somehow, I doubt it's going to be impossible to reach the AA cap if you're willing to put so much time and effort into doing so. So really, I don't think this hurts the twinked xp-locked toons significantly, and it probably helps those that are already at the AA cap and not interested in leveling up.

As for the poster who wanted to poo poo level locking, why do you even care? Either you level past them and ignore them, or you match their effort by locking your own xp until you get max AA's and farm/buy until you get good gear, then fight them. Rinse and repeat as you level up. If you're not willing to put in the time and effort, don't be surprised when they pwn you ... they're trying a lot harder at it than you are.

Despite this increase in exp gain, plus turning in six collections on my sarnak I have still managed to pick up 11 AA's while dinging level 17. I could have gotten more but have not even left Gorowyn yet. I'm not locking as I've already been there and done that and found it lifeless and boring at every tier from two to six. Tier four was fun for a couple of weeks but I never really saw the point of playing when my entire goal was not to advance.

In very few cases would 70/100 or 70/140 matter more than the skill/class/circumstances of the players involved in the fight.SOE should probably should find a way to "fix" the huge jump though, so that we aren't graced with more threads like this one.
