There is a problem with the system of viewing stats on items and spells. It shows you the stats for a character of your own level. If the spell or item is at a level that you can't use then they are drastically reduced from the real values, i.e. 1-3 pts of damage.

This isn't usually a problem, because people are only concerned about stuff they can use.

It IS a problem for people who have a much higher Artisan level than their Adventure level. A level 40 Alchemist, level 9 Brigand, can make level 40 poisons, but she would have no idea what the effect is by looking at them. She will only see the stats adjusted for her Brigand level. How is she supposed to know how good this poison is supposed to be for someone who is level 40. How is she supposed to determine the value?

I think the current system is a good default, but you should also be able to see the item stats at the level of someone who can use the item.

Maybe they could do something like, Alt click an item to see a description window of the same level as the item. A normal examine would show you the adjusted stats, but an Alt click would show you the baseline. Or have something like the dressing room.

This got lost in all the RoK release threads, but I feel like it is a good idea.
