Wow, Stargate has come to Norrath. Where did you find that Amana? (and seriously, looks like IP infringment on the stargate folks, complete with the symbols and all)

I don't know too much about the ring and won't divulge what little bits I know just yet. However I will say that it is located within Veeshan's Peak in the Jarsath Waste area.

One ring to rule them all...I couldn't help it.

That kinda reminds of a portal to the planes. Kind of like the portal to SoF, only deactivated. I'm guessing the symbols are draconic in nature. I recognize a few of them but don't remember where I saw them.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's a direct portal to the Temple of Veeshan in Velious.

Maybe they made up... Would be interesting, to say the least.

One thing I will confirm is that item is in the Veeshan's Peak zone. However i've little to no idea exactly what it means. I'm deffinately curious about it's....possibilities.

In the Western Wastes in EQlive, you would find Esorpa of the Ring outside of the Temple of Veeshan. She was on Ring of Scale faction, and served as a deligate/Ambassador for the Ring.

i remember somewhere on the lore boards a topic concerning a sage in mistmoore revealing prophecies or trying to explain them or something to that nature... one of the propechies stated that the time of the dragons was near an end..perhaps veeshan has contacted them and called them to her? maybe this is a means to leave norrath forever? just a thought, if not this could potentially lead anywhere... temple of veeshan, somewhere somewhat similar to KoS maybe? who knows, only time will tell

Actually that's Zebuxoruk himself who prophecized that the Dragon's importance to Norrath in general is coming to a close.

There is a quest at the entrance to the zone that would unlock the gate allowing access to the epic boss of the expansion from what Iv gathered from beta

The book was in Castle Mistmoore. The prophecies were made by Zebuxoruk, with comments made by Sage V'Ncenzi in Mayong's employ.

Yeah but I think the sage comments on some things that Zeb doesn't say directly in Mara. I know he actually said the dragon line, but I don't remember about the others.

The ring has 14 symbols on it. The access quest for Trakanons Lair requires you to kill 14 dragons in Vesheens Peak. I'm going to assume thats the zone in to Trak's Lair and each kill you get will activate a specific symbol. I could be way off, but it would make sense.

What you don't see is that little gnome that tells you "Chevron Seven - locked" right before you enter.

Also FYI that ring has moved, it is no longer in that central room near the start of the zone. That centre area is now empty, although it does server the purpose of being the return point when using the vision portals after each wing boss.

There are in fact 2 of these rings in Veeshan's Peak. The first is in wing 3 just after Travenro the Skygazer, and ports you to the area containing Silverwing.

The second ring is in the passage between Silverwing and Phara Dar and zones you into Trakanon's Lair.

Aye, there are 2 of those gateways in Veeshan's Peak. One is in the third wing, and leads to the final section of the zone where Silverwing and Phara'dar reside. The other one is in a room near Phara'dar, and leads to Trakanon's Lair.

Interesting

I will have to admit that photo was taken during beta so it turns out alot has changed. Deffinately an interesting design though and I have to agree i'm wondering where the little gnome is saying "Chevrone 7 is locked".
