i believe it's about 8am in the U.S. i can hazard i geuss the first thing many did when they awoke was start patching..more folks downloading..slower transfer speed servers are gonna be down for at least 8 hours in total anyway..chill out with a beer for now

It is a little early for beer, plus I had too many last night. Now a bloody mary, that might be socially acceptable.
It's likely the patch is being pushed out in bite-size packets. A few minutes ago my patcher was telling me I was half done, now it's dropped down to about a third done, so expect it to go up and down a bit as the day goes on.

I started patching when it became available also. Time goes up and down as it calculates dowload speeds etc... Currently at 11 hours after about an hour patching.... what do other people have currently? Was going to open the TCG client and play some card games but that will slow down the patch I believe lol. Guess will wait till the patch is done... hopefully before the servers are back up to play.

I patched for a couple hours and was completely done downloading at one point. I came back 30 minutes later and restarted the patcher and it now has another big chunk of data to download.

Perhaps you were downloading and that new chunk came in and put your download time up a chunk, but I don't necessariily think you lost bandwidth.

I'm up to 10.5 hours right now, but not sure how long it's been at that estimated time since it keeps going back and forth from 10:33 to 10:34.

Actually I am a little worried it will not even finish in another 8hours from now [Removed for Content]. Yes, I am on cable connection etc.Right now it is saying 4 hours.... ( but I believe that might be for the current file lol! )As the blue bar is still only about 25% in! Ack I hope I am wrong.

Restarting the patcher a few times usually adjusts the download time remaining to a lesser, more acurate time. The part that ticks me off is I'm currently downloading a voice pak that was on beta, yet hasn't been modified in a month. I copied over big files like voice packs and music files from my beta folder to save myself some download time, but it seems that was nigh pointless. Yay!

So I started the DL, says I have about 6 hours on the patch. I get my retail copy this afternoon. Is there any benefit to me patching early, or will I just have to re-patch when I install the game? I suppose I could just enter my product key after patch to avoid re-patching...anyone know if that will work?

I would ignore the time estimate, or try exiting and restarting. Mine said 4-5 hours an hour ago, but I'm now patched and at Char Select (servers locked) so the time estimate isn't always very accurate.

All it did was re-analyze and it worked perfectly fine, no repatching so far.

I'm sitting at 2:26:00 left on mine, which is about what it's been at for the last 45 minutes, though I've been downloading things all the same. Gives me a chance to work on character bios, at least.
