Noticed when EQ2Players came back up that the XML feed changed. There is alot of data fields missing such as status points that is interfering with guild roster tools. Is this a temporary change? Also even in EQ2players you can't sort by some of the custom fields.

Can we get some DEV feedback on this? Is this working as expected? Or is this going to be 'fixed'. I really want the guild status to be returned. It's nice that secondary tradeskills were added, but absolutely not at the expense of contributions to guild status.

Please let us know this was a oops.

Is there any news when this will be back? Since the XML Feed change, our guild, The BlackHand, can no longer use our status roster: a tool we use to weekly see how much status each member has - very useful in the quest for Guild Level 80.Please

Five fields were removed then (and never returned), and the XML feed was corrupted (apparently the Web Serivces team think that HTML that only looks like XML is good enough - eventually fixed six month later, only to be broken again six months later by the RoK release).

Rock@Guk wrote:

Please let us know this was a oops.

Since the XML feed's broken again like it was for EoF, and those removed fields have reappeared in SoE's Advanced Services roster (which they charge for, and which doesn't work properly), I don't surmise "oops" is the proper description of what occured.

I mentioned this to the guy who wrote our Status Roster and he had a look at the source code for Roster Master. Unfortunately, it retrieves the data the same way we do . Thanks for the offer though Basically, we haven't had an update since the 11/11/07 because SoE have stopped adding this to the XMl feed.Would be nice if a Dev would comment on when this ability would be back...

Have we had any official word back about this issue?

Jolemai,

There is indeed a difference in the Roster Master source that allows the retrieval of status. It is however, quite subtle and hard to spot, I myself looked at the source for a couple hours before finding it. I would suggest contacting Lantis directly, as he offered, in a PM for the difference.

I fear that to post the solution here would lead to it being *fixed* and so I won't, but like Lantis, you can PM me also with your email and I'll send you the solution. I have to say, great work on the part of the Roster Master team.
