I don't think anyone really knows. There's been a lot of discussion about casting rotations at the cap because everyone is using the same spell quality. It's easy to parse these spells and find out which are doing the most dps for their casting time. Its more difficult to apply that information to your level, because you have some spells that are more upgraded than others. For example, the unresistable dot line kinda sucked when capped at 70 because it was an old spell, but if you just got an upgrade at 49 it might actually be one of your better spells.Your best bet for this info is to test it out for yourself. Run ACT, divide the ext dps of each spell by its (casting+recovery) time. However all of that is assuming you're interested in a casting rotation for optimal dps. If you want solo, pvp, or group combat rotations those are all entirely different things, and I'd recommend using the "search" function to find them.

Need more details, your query does not compute <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />The spell rotation is highly dependent on the following factors:Are you solo, in small or full group (with or without tank) or on a raid?Do you fight encounters with 1, 2 or more mobs? Are the encounters solo, heroic or epic? How long does the fight take?

Casting rotation = not thinkingNot thinking is a bad thing. It is bad enough that we have poor NPC AI, we shouldn't be encouraging it in players too!I'm not saying that 75% of the time most warlocks aren't going to cast x-y-z when solo and a-b-c in a raid, or whatever. They probably are going to push the same buttons BUT they'll be pushing those buttons because they are the right ones to push in those circumstances!I think that every player needs to understand (especially by level 49!) what the arts do, how and where they are complementary to each other. They also need to understand that not every mob is identical, so not every attack should be identical. If they cannot grasp that fact then they should probably go and find a console game!Apologies if this sounds like an attack on the OP. I just think that thinking is important - learning by rote is fine in its place, but this isn't the place.

No need to apologize OAK.... if that was one of the most brutal attacks I'd have to deal with on a daily basis ( I am a Criminal Defense Attorney) life would be a breeze.... I leave the console gaming to the kids..... weed through the negative responses and get to the info i am looking for.
