My husband & I duo only. We haven't raided in 3 years and I doubt we ever will. We're character collectors.

He's gotten the itch for a pure healer... his persona in EQLive days. He's rolled a Templar and I now have a Guardian. I chose a Guardian because we already have a 70 Berserker. However, it really seems like Guardians are geared towards being a MT in a raid capacity. How would they be as a duo only with a Templar? Should I even bother?

I'm also debating on dual wielding or a 2-hander. Any thoughts? I don't really see a need for a shield at this point.

I two box my Guardian and Defiler, don't see why you guys can't do a Guardian and Templar combo.

I've done a Guard Temp combo and me thinks you will do just fine.

Just a point or two I would like to mention...

If playing on a PvE server spec your Guard for DPS otherwise they are a bit slow on the kills. If on a PvP server spec him for Defence and grab a DPS class to round out your groups.

I have done this pairing. Templars can actually do some damage with APs focused on speeding up the recasting of their nukes. You can also go to areas with large numbers of undead. The templar reactive heal actually works best with a plate tank.
