Hello Bruisers, I just recently logged back in after almost a years break(had 3rd baby) and there was my 58th level Bruiser lookin at me like "Where the phuk ya been!" Hehe...

Anyway, I played him over the weekend and had a blast. before I left, Bruisers got kinda nurfed, but imho, he was up and running at full strength like I remember from the good ole days. So moving foward, I do have some questions...

1. Deadly Spirt. ( The one that gives you additional HP's essentually). I used to always use that, but right before I left he game do to the aformentioned baby, this spell was weirded out and it actually was detramental to use. Do you all find it ok to use now?

2. AA's. I went down the STR line going 4/4/8/8/1...I think...I maxed out the last 3, last one being Chi which only took 1 or 2. I then went with the Healing Bruiser AA, I think I put 3 into it so far.

I don't know if this is the "best setup or not. That is why I am seeking wisdom from this forum. I solo quite a bit as RL stuff keeps me way busy...though i love grouping, but don't do it as much. So I am concentrating on single target mayhem essentually. Killing one thing at a time as fast as possible. I am mainly Mastercrafted gear with mainly AdeptIII spells/Arts. Nothing special but very happy with things.

So in regards to AA's..

A) Is the STR line that I outlined good? I am unarmed ofc.

B) Is Chi something you all use? I honestly have not used it yet soloing so no idea if it is as good as the description makes it sound.

C) Putting the other AA's into the Healing line. Is that reccommended? I figure that is one great way to stay alive! hehe. If not reccommended, what other line after STR is best for my situation...and why? Please give me your reasoning behind the decision. I need to reqason through it.

3. At current level of 59, what is a great place to solo named mobs? I have all the expansions so no where is off limits in that regard.

4. I grouped with an SK last night who was stealing agro like crazy from me due to some spell they use which helps us kill faster. But I couldn't keep mobs off him. Any suggestions. My taunts are AdeptIII's and I have my buffs up for increased hate.

Thnaks in advanced for your help. I hope to be a contributor here again in the near future.

Psok....59th Bruiser Lucan Sever.

1. Never used that spell much2. STR + chi is a great line to go down for dps. You might want to go down the INT line next for the extra survivability and eagle spin which lets hit the mob's backside.3. There is not much in the way of named solo'ing at level 59. Actually levels 57 to 64 are something you just need to grind past as quickly as you can. Try the quest lines in Lesser Faydark and then move on to Lopping Plains. There are a few named there but not much.4. I duo'ed with an SK and was able to do all of SoS and PoA claymore. Which is a good quest series for you to start right about now. If the SK draws agro don't worry they can take hits too.

Thanks for the feedback.

So no real named to solo at this level eh? Okies.

Now what is the INT line for? How does it increase survivability more so than the healing line from Bruisers side? Not arguing, just askin?

Thanks for the tips on quests in Lesser faydark...I've done a bunch and will continue to or just move to the claymore lines.

As I read further, does the INT line make our CA's reuse faster? How much so? How many points needed for that?

What are adorments? I see the slots for them, but not sure if they add to my stats or not? Are they cheap? Where do I get them?

The INT line increases survivability with a passive buff that increases our defense and offensive when we drop below 30% health. It makes those tough fights a bit less risky. The AGI line increases CA reuse If I remember correctly. After you hit level 70 it is pretty easy to get better weapons than the unarmed bonuses. At that point you can respec out of the STR line and go either AGI or WIS. Every non-ornate Item you can equip can be adorned. Adornments are made by the various crafting classes using enigma recipies. It is best to just do a search on the broker for these. The prices range from a few gold to over 10 plat depending on what you buy. The mitigation and parry adornments are the best for bruisers just so you know.

Looks like it's just you and me in these forums eh.

Thank you for your help. I'll look around for the adorment stuff and if I need clarification I'll post it on here.

As far as the INT and AGI lines, I guess I can see why people use them. I would imagine I would be more apt to use the INT line b4 the AGI line as I can mezz and fear the mob while I refresh timers.

I also was reading that I should put an extrea 4 into the Pressure Point part of STR line...so I may do that for the extra powerful debuff.
