5% casting time reduction sounds really nice, is that a perminant? The rest seems ok too.

Yes, the 5% casting is permanent.

There are definate drawbacks because a lot of races get +defense or +parry type skills, but none of those races get anything to help with spell casting as a melee class. The other races have a melee based option that includes things like +crit to melee, and then a spell based option which includes +crit to spells, but because shadowknights are a melee class they automatically get the melee option rather than the spell one.

The Ward isn't huge from what I hear, but it doesn't need to be huge to help out. Even if it just absorbed one attack it would be something.

The way i see it, SK's are offensive tanks (or are supposed to be) so anything to help us hold agro or do more damage is a plus.I am a dark elf shadowknight and am looking forward to putting my healers to work when i cast Fury of Innoruuk, hell, but at least i'll hold agro Unless you plan on tanking the hardest hitting stuff in the game, alittle less avoidance isnt going to do crap, a good shield is all you really need.I normally find myself playing the offtank role quite a bit, i tank in offensive stance all the time, unless there are really hard hitting mobs/epics involved (of course)Adds from contested mayong or adds from avatar fights i all fight in offensive stance tho.But yea 5% extra casting speed isnt much , but would be nice if you spec full STR line making a total of 15% perminant faster casting speedSTR 4 6 8 4 2AGI 4 4 7STA 4 4 7INT 4 4 8would probly be a superb spec for a erudite SK.. or something along those lines. Oh yea and get yourself a ring of the four winds for +5% recast reduction!

I loved playing my SK on the original EQ and I felt like rolling up my first alt. I like the Erudite SK since I rarely see that race/class combo on Nagafen. Would anyone that plays as an SK mind posting some advice on SK PvP for T2 and T3? I read a lot of post saying that int 4/4/8 is a must, so would that be the best bet to start with my AA early on or something else? I prefer the 2-hander, is it viable to use regularly or mostly situational?

Thanks in advance for any responses.
