View Full Version : Still can't get logged on - Tech support NIGHTMARE - Any GM help would be nice

Issues are still happening. My friend was in, got kicked off and now she cant login. Says invalid username or password. I'm sure she is not the only one.

<p>I reset my password a few days ago and tried to login last night and couldn't get logged on.  I figured since I reset my password I had just forgotten it and went into eq2players.com's option to retrieve a new temporary password.  After receiving this I said great looks like I'll just login with this one.  Wrong answer, I tried to login and nothing.</p><p>Unknown to me the login servers were having problems, so I jump on chat support after it taking forever (queue was at 35) I finally got in touch with a tech who told me they were having problems with the login server and that my old password would work when they fixed the problem.  Completely ignoring the fact, even though I pointed out I had forgotten my original password and wanted to know if that was the one that I was expected to use or the new temporary one that was emailed to me.  Anyway, he was absolutely useless and didn't know.</p><p>I proceeded to contact support on their phone number and receive busy signals all night long.  I logged into live chat again and after another hour got through to a technician and still got the same response.</p><p>Waited until this morning hoping everything would be cleared up and low and behold the login servers are all set.  Great I'll just login with the temporary password that I received now.  Nothing...</p><p>Oh well i'll just go in and reset it through eq2players retrieve password again and if something was messed up due to the login servers being down when I received my last temp password it should all be fixed now and the one it will email to me should work.</p><p>Wrong!!  I can't reset my password again for 24 hours.  Crap, well I'll login to chat support, o wait I can't because they are closed on the weekends.  Same as phone support!!   O well I'll just email support then, WRONG!!, again I don't have my password.</p><p> So at this point I'm left with having to login to my wife's account and send in an email and an in game /petition hoping that they don't reset HER password because they don't read the emails the right way.  Or hoping that they don't tell me, sorry there's nothign we can do for your husbands account since you opened the petition from your wife's account.</p><p> Anyway,  thanks for the fantastic support  I appreciate it, I mean it's been a wonderful expierence.</p><p>=====</p><p>FYI I HAD TO POST THIS FROM MY WIFES ACCOUNT</p>

<p>same here. Tried to log in for the first time this morning it takes me to character select and when I select a character it says 1)server is back logged or 2) I have a character already in game, and I dont. </p><p> So no, it is not fixed.</p>

<p>Icant get loggedin either it runs though all the login servers and says trya agin later. This has been goingon since teh 10/9 nas per your OWN announcment ...</p><p>I signed up for teh SOLE purpose of being able to get teh EXP sunday otherwise I woudl have waited if I cant login by then one of your phone peolpe are going to get an earful that I can PROMISE you. </p><p> How do you create errors that prevent certain people from logging on... and how do you know that teh problems arent degeneritive? Why are you not taking atleast SOME of your login servers down to play with them... Silly SOE</p>

Howdy folks,Yes, it's the weekend, but this was brought to my attention and I've communicated to the ops teams who may be able to help us sort out what might be happening. If you are only having password problems, you should get with CS direct and explore the possibility that it is just a password issue.Same for those of ya who are getting messages that your character is already in the world. If it's just an account state issue, you may not need to wait for me to do the rounds and get all the information only to find out that contacting weekend support would have nailed it. Everyone else, hold steady and I'll see what I can do.

<p>Weekend support?  I've tried to call (no support on weekend, live chat (no support on weekend), email (no reponse this was at around 7:30 am this morning it's now 4 pm), and petition in game, same again around 8 am this morning.</p><p> Still no reponse on this for assistance, I'm still unable to access the account and still can't have my password reset and sent to me by email until tonight at 8:43 pm est.</p>

Thanks Grimwell, I was not trying to shoot the messenger. I understand that you can only do so much on your end. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon. As for my frustrated GF last night, i just had her create a new account and she was able to get in with that. Being that she is new to EQ and has the trial it was the simplest thing to do for her at the time. We have yet to try her problem account.Thanks for paying attention and directing the issues to the appropriate people <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />
