Ok, I know there is at least one level 80 necro on the beta server here somewhere... so spill it already, what id our level 80 skill? I know we get a raid wide heart spell (FINALLY!), and I can only hope that ours is half as good as the conjie spell.

The conjie spell btw, allows them to have ALL of their pets out at once for like 20 seconds... so say they are using they new bad [Removed for Content] looking tank pet, and they use this spell, their mage, scout and hydromancer (if they have it) are all summoned and start attacking!

Come on devs, don't let me down!

80 - Vampirism - summons a vampiric orb that siphons health from nearby enemies and restores the health of nearby allies.

Anyone know how much this heals for? Will it die instantly when the mob looks at it? Just wondering how useful this will actually be.

Sounds crappy to me. Wow! Another skill/spell that is useless in raids or most instances due to AEs. ::Goes off and casts it on a ally, 2 secs later ally gets damage wait 3 mins to recast::

Here is a parse of just the orb by itself on a single target. It parsed 1285 DPS in it's 45 second duration. Keep in mind it does this damage AOE so it would be hitting all mobs around it like this. Put on a pet with Blood Pact or someone with AOE immunity it would stay up it's full duration. If used properly it can increase your DPS beyond Undead Tide or even Lifeburn. It's just a matter of learning how and when to use it.

Seems I posted too soon. This spell has been adjusted. It now only hits for 600-700 a hit. The Dev response was:

Aeralik wrote:

It's doing the proper damage now. It had some data that was set improperly that caused it to use npc damage tables which caused that unusually high damage at master 1.

So this just became very situational to use and lost a lot of value to the raiders.

For those of you who were not in beta and don't understand how this spell works let me explain a little. First off it is a dumbfire pet/Buff that can be cast on any group/raid member, your pet or yourself. When it is cast on someone it (dumbfire) appears about 5m behind them and starts doing Blue AOE lifetap damage to everything around it. For every hit it returns health to group members in an AOE radius around it. It last for 45 seconds and has a recast of 3 minutes. Now the catch is, if the person you cast it on takes any damage it dispells. Also like any dumbfire it can be AOE killed. (I haven't seen proof of that part in my testing yet, i have only seen it go away on direct damage to who it was cast on.)

Well, I never really figured we would get a good spell at 80 anyways. I mean hell not like we got anything really great before. Consumption isn't that great, drawing of souls sucks except for the use for tainted heals, control undead is to situational. Now undead tide is good. Now a spell I will probably rarely ever use. Should I even mention I wish I had made myself a dark elf instead of a erudite? lol
