.....As the title implies, this is the place to boast about whom is going to be the first Swashbuckler to get to Lvl 80 (when RoK goes live)!

No prize except the bragging rights....lol...

Probably one of the last here as I currently have 4 lvl 70 toons (3 on the same account) so will cycle through them and use the benefits of vitality to its best advantage

I don't know, and don't care who will hit 80 first. But I know this: Whomever he or she is, will also be the first one that I laugh at for racing to 80 then complaining of being bored. I will point, laugh, and mock them horribly.

I've competed in the race to 60 and to 70 and will be sitting out the race to 80. I want to do more questing as I've recently gotten really into the lore of the game.GL to those who like this sort of challenge.

Of the 5, 3 of them are healers, and one is my warden main - healers get leveled first, crafters second, Swash....last Also, agreed. Those that rush to 80 then complain of being bored will make me laugh.

I'll race to 71, then take it nice and slow to get my 40 more AAs. If I had to guess on first to 80, I'd say Koldsteel, the Swash from the top guild on my server (Oasis). IIRC he was in the top-5 to 60 and 70, and the guy seems to ALWAYS be online. But really, what good is being 80 if you get there before there's anybody else to group/raid with?

Ditto I'm going to take my sweet time getting to 80, although you might have better luck finding participants on EQ2flames... edit:[I cannot control my vocabulary]

I'm actually pleasantly surprized to see the results of this post!.....It seems that people are more into "...smelling the roses along the way..." which is great!

....of course, for those who are interesting in racing to 80....dont hold back...its just as another way of playing this game! Lets hear from You!

I did a few things to help me with the jump to T8. First I have done my best to leave pockets of (un)exploration in order to grab the loc xp later. Secondly, I have picked up as many collections in t7 as i could and left the corresponding final item to add later (I suggest 10 or more). Third, i saved my /claim xp potions and bought the npc xp potion. Fourth, I managed to leave a nice handful of quests ready to be turned in and one HQ (the more the better if you still have time). This should help to ..ease.. the shift from t7 to t8

If its a raiding guild you not being 80 can really hamper the whole guild in to raiding the new tier asap. If your in a raiding guild there is alot of pressure to hit 80 asap. I will be hitting 80 ASAP and stop and smell the roses on off raid nights.

For a casual raider like me, however, it'd be more "Yep...here I am....level 80. So anyone wanna roll some alts?" For a few weeks, at the least.

They aren't going to be all that useful for folks wanting to PL through T8.

I hear the winner for each class will get a special "I Have No Life" title to display proudly in their name.

Not me. I was swashy nr 14 to hit 61 and been among the 20-40 for the other higher levels. But with all the swashbucklers competing to be the swashiest here I might just go all Shadowknighty on you!
