Seriously, does Thieves guild have ANY meaning? I mean is there any other class with large enough resist (mitigation works?) debuffs to be worth using it???

So...after reading it like 20 times I think I finally figure out what it does....

I think it makes someone elses debuffs better. I imagine there are a few classes that could really benefit from something like this....dirge maybe?

IF it only works for mit debuffs (not magical resistance ones?!?) then it's definitly for the dirges as they are one of the only ones to have a debuff you don't laugh at (only like 1k in t7 is I remember well but would make that buff worth it)

What I'd really like to know now (and will try to test out) is what the cap of mitigation debuffs is, on raid mobs. I mean, add up M1 versions of all the mitigation buffs there are, surely you would be pushing 10k ish? If that isnt over the cap already, how much will 400 ish extra really do?I'm really not one to moan about these things, but this ability is EXTREMELY disappointing. It is BORING, its effects on a player or a raidforce will NEVER be noticed, by ANYONE. PLEASE come up with something better!

is there an upgrade to devitalize somewhere in there?

Anfauglith

As far as I know, mitigation debuff cap is the same as mit cap...so 75% for buffs...and as you can go negative, -75% fro debuffs...which is most liekly impossible to reach anyway...As for where it puts you, it depends a lot where on the curve you are...but it could actualy be more powerfull then just a CA that would add 100dps to you only... Divitalize update is called enfeeblement

Just what dirges need since they arent very sought after for raids. Pfft.

Anfauglith

That won't make dirge "more" wanted in raids...not like it's possible anyway...it will just make brigand-dirge combo in 1 group more wanted that's all...

yah. pretty much only go onto a dirge or quis.

Yup, the brigand level 80 ability is:1) A buff2) That must be cast on someone else3) Useless for soloers and most small groupersI don't know what SOE was thinking.

Wow, how stupid is our new CA? A buff? A buff that enhances mitigation debuffs? On non rogues/predators?Sorry, this is [Removed for Content]! There are how many other classes with mitigation debuffs? Inqui, dirge, SK. Are there any more? I can't believe it. We get a buff that we can use on 3 of 24 classes? How stupid is that???

Believe me...it's been feedbacked an unbelievable amount, nothing changed yet. They did change alot of other classes lvl 80 abilities over the course of Beta that sucked even more than ours. Just ask the Coercers about the original Puppetmaster... Anyway, lots of good suggestions have been made for changes to it to make it more useful for all content, all we can hope is they take it to heart and change it, if not today, then tomorrow, or the next LU.

And also not in the top list that isn't upgraded is Hideaway. The rest is correct.

While Im not terribly impressed with the Thieves Guild ability, I am very happy to see that they are trying to give us something to put on other people in the group. I always feel bad when people are buffing all around me and Im like "me-me-me"...all done. Not a very brigand like attitude I suppose, lol. DOnt shamans have some debuffs Theives Guild might improve? /Grasping...

classes that have mit debuff of some kind.defiler has a couple nox mit debuffs. 1 single target and 1 encounter.mystic has a multiple resist debuff, but forget if it's encounter or single, i think elemental and noxious debuff.templar has a single target physical debuff, and a single target divine resist debuffinquis has a single target all mit debufftroub has a single target all magic debuff, and encounter all magic debuff, snare has mental debuffwarlock has an encounter nox debuffsk has encounter disease debuff, and encounter physical debuffpaladin has encounter divine resist debuffnot sure but i think warden has a elemental resist debuff.coercer has all magic resist debuff, and arcane debuffilly has arcane debuffwiz has single elemental debuffdirge has encounter mit debuff, encounter magic debuff, snare has disease debuff.so yah. it's best on a dirge, possibly sk or inquis. maybe troub.i'm sure i've forgotten something so if you can think of anything else please add.

this spell has limited usefulness as stated aboveSoloers - uselessSmall groupers - probably uselessRaids - can't cast on a raid friend!all in all i am incredibly disappointed. went through the wiki today looking at other classes abilities, some are freakin sweet and some just as useless as our own. too bad. band of thugs was such a great idea IMO.

If they wanted it to be usefull, they'd make it self and half or a third as efficient...or raid target so at least you know you can use it on a good class in raids...

I'm no fan of the skill myself either....but the real quality of the skill is simply to encourage raid leaders to put either a dirge, inquisitor, or chanter in your group in my opinion because those 4 classes benefit the most from it, and we benefit the most from being grouped with them.

Mystic/dirge is generally good target for thieves guild Ca.
