Because SOE has yet to learn the lesson of "Learn from your mistakes so you don't make them again"...

Sorry about that everyone. We had an issue with one of our session servers that was affecting some log ins. It was affecting us here as well. This should now be fixed.

I guess Sony isn't going home tonight. One of my accounts is having the Operation Timed Out error when trying to connect from the launchpad. I tired calling (85 537-0898 and get a busy signal. Does SOE have a Phone Queue system? I tried Chat Support which requires me to login with an account that works and then I get No Agents are currently available. I think I am going to make the below my forum signature:JA-SIG Central Authentication Service (CAS)Central Authentication ServiceSingle Sign-On for the Web

CAS is Unavailable

A general exception occurred while trying to access CAS. Please notify your system administrator.

I'm wondering why we can't log onto the forums with our primary accounts but can get right on with our second account without any issues?

You know, if they would "unfix" the login server and give each game there own, instead of trying to cram five gallons of crap in a 1 gallon can, maybe these things wouldnt happen so often.

"I'm wondering why we can't log onto the forums with our primary accounts but can get right on with our second account without any issues?"

Maybe because the second account wasn't logged in when it crashed. I have the same problem. The account I was playing is dead, this one, which wasn't logged in at the time works fine...

The issue is being investigated by the tech gnomes and they believe they know the issue and it's to be corrected soon to get you back into game!

Very sorry for the trouble!

~Gnobrin!

can you imagine how annoyed the EQ1 folks must be? its not even their expansion but they get the crashes and drops and unable to log issues too.

ok this is just silly now...I mean atleast post something about Login Servers down or something along that line so we dont waste our time searching for answers that are pretty simple to figure out if someone would just state there is a problem with the login servers or some accounts have problems...thanks

Just had this issue happen to me a bit ago, about 9 pm EST.

I'd read somewhere in here it had to do with sockets not being released and to shut off the computer for a while and try again.

Just rebooting did not fix it. But, by shutting off the computer for about 2-3 minutes I was then able to log in normally.

Hope the info helps anyone.

I've alerted the tech gnomes, in hopes that this can be further investigated. They thought that they finally caught that tiger, but it seems that they may of called "all clear" too early.

~Gnobrin!

I was having the same issue where i couldn't log in, i was just hitting the eq2 Icon on my desktop and i kept getting a timeout error. So i waited and ran the EQ2Map auto update once it was done i have it set to auto start EQ2. I was looking at the TV while it was updated and when i looked back at the screen i was loging in, but i had not inputed my username or password. Then in the middle of the login it asked for my info. Once i put it in i was able to log in. I have since loged out and back in with no issues. I think that when my GF was playing my toons this morning while i was at work for some reason it did not log me out right and got stuck in a loop. Not sure if this will help you guys. Thought i would share what happed to me.

Tren Runecaster

Nektulos Server

If you find that you still are having issue, log out and restart your system. There's presently nothing wrong with the servers nor login (from what the tech-gnomes are sayin', so restarting will cure what ails ya.

~Gnobrin!
