One of my accounts can log in just fine, the other (for whom I've pre-ordered the SOE download version of RoK) cannot.

My situation is similar but has some additional issues. I can not sign into anything SOE with my main and third accounts, but my second account can sign into everything. First and third account cant even sign into the forums to post, get invalid password here, and they get the operation timed out logging into the game.

I can't log in to EQ2, LoN, or to my Station account. I get the following:

EQ2 - Operation Timed Out

EQ2, launched directly from EverQuest2.exe - Login rejected, invalid name or password, please try again.

Legends of Norrath Stand-Alone Launcher - Operation Timed Out

Station.com - Error Code: error.authentication.retrieval.fail

I'm guessing the authentication servers are down?

Get error timed out on one account, but not the others.Whats the deal?

Isn't this problem attributed to LoN? If so please allow me to opt out of that craptastic addition to the game I actually pay for. SOE can keep the spam associated with it also.

Last time I had this happen, from what I recall.. after about 12 hours, finally someone from SOE said it was a sessions server issue.

I'd say give up and try again tomorrow personally... that's what we're gonna do.

Frankly... this kind of server issue, that repeats, is unacceptable. I can understand having an issue and taking a while to fix, but when the SAME issue keeps coming up, then it makes the server admins look like morons. <shrug>

I'm having problems logging in myself.... so, I'm only able to post this on the EverQuest II forums (I hope... unless the login issue eats this post, as well).

This issue is one that the developers and network operations teams are investigating. Unfortunately, there is no official ETA, but we hope to have the login servers up and running without issues very soon!

using hubby's account....

Can we please get some OFFICIAL response as to what the problem is, why it keeps happening, when we can expect it to be fixed, what is being done to staop it from occuring again, etc.?

Being 4 days from RoK launch, this does not bode well.

Sorry about that everyone. We had an issue with one of our session servers that was affecting some log ins. It was affecting us here as well. This should now be fixed.
