Hi there. My alt is a 30 defiler which is coming along quite nicely. I am looking into grouping at some point this weekend, but unsure of the general strategy (with my warden its easy - I heal!).Do I just group ward, general ward on the tank, heal when necessary? Is it worth doing any DPS and shall I even bother sending dogdog in a little extra melee?

If you aren't specced down the strength line I wouldn't bother with the dog in a group, it will just get in the way. If you plan on taking the strength line, but haven't yet, you could practice sending him into combat in a way that prevents him from taking ripposte damage.

In a good group you won't have too much time to do more than heal. Defiler heals are powerful, but slow casting. The group ward and single target ward are definately your best friends in a group. Use those and don't be afraid of direct heals when necessary. If your target lives long enough to matter, the debuffs are pretty nice.

Don't preward unless you know the tank will grab aggro before it can get to you. Be ready to drop your deaggro bomb because if the group gets an add and you have the group ward up it comes straight to you.
