I wasn't ever really a fan of the Knights of Thunder (having been a Paladin serving Erollisi in EQ1) and I wont follow Karana (Bristlebane here) but I'm familiar with the stories surrounding the Knights of Thunder, I've spent my share of time questing in Stormhold and I'm a bit curious.

With Karana returning and a Prophet surfacing soon, I wonder if we might find out some additional information about the KoT; are there any left who weren't in Stormhold to be corrupted? Are there any descendants of them who might still follow the teachings of the KoT pre-stormhold? Will the Prophet be such a person? Or will the Prophet be a ranger or druid? I'd get a big kick out of it if the prophet were a gnoll lol. Will he/she have something to say about the Knights? Will their honor ever be restored? I know this one has been asked before...Will the Hall of Thunder in SQ ever be re-opened?

I know the expansion releases soon, and I'll get a few answers to my questions, after all it'll be easy enough to find out about the prophet and when talked to we'll find out if the prophet says anything about the Knights but what about the rest? How about a hint or just some more info if it's not in the expansion and never will be in any expansion or a "wait and see because it'll be in a later expansion and we dont want to spoil it"?

If I ever find the Karana prophet in beta (He's someone all of you will recognize), I'll try and do the questline and see if I find anything new.

I have to say, with the lore of the Knights of Thunder and Knights/Priest of Truth being similiar in having both had the whole, Befallen problem, i'd love to see the KoT get some love, we have the Order of Marr, so aye, some love for those lovely windy paladins would be nice!

The Knights of Thunder have not been forgotten. Their story does not end with the demise of Stormhold. The evil that befell their subterranean fortress has forever linked them to a greater tale that will be told. There are hints of where the tale took the brave Knights of Thunder.

As for the dungeon called Befallen, it is part of that tale and does exist in Norrath. I cannot promise you will see it again nor can I declare it will never be rediscovered. It still has secrets that would need to be revealed before we march to... well... to some place dangerous that I cannot mention yet. There are a few npc's that have great interest in the fate of Befallen and Stormhold. One of them has been encountered by a few of you lucky enough to encounter the spirits of the Peacock.

Another thing i'm wondering is if they have supposedly "Broken Their Word" since they formed that pact described in the tome of destiny.

I seem to remember at least one version of the Bone Bladed Claymore tale in which Gynok was the leader of a band of Barbarians when he first encountered Oppalla; (another version has Gynok as a member of the Qeynos Guard when the incident took place).

It's a stretch I know, but perhaps there is a Barbarian connection to this.

One thing that has always troubled me is the potency and depth of the curse laid on Gynok and his weapon. To have endured for over half a millenia, and to have brought down the Paladins of both Mithaniel Marr and Karana, is truly staggering. It makes me wonder if there wasn't more to Oppalla than the simple Shamaness of a band of Gnolls.
