I downloaded the setup file from the main page in the Get The Game link. However when I run it, it does not install the client. Instead it installs the Launchpad in a directory far away from where I wanted it, as well as a file (EQ2.exe). I forgot the DVD at home, and would like to install this on my work computer. Is there another location to download the correct file? Thanks in advance.

I just tested the link (Get The Game - Reinstall EQ2) and it appears to be working properly. The file that will download is a zip file that you can place and extract to any location that you like. From there just run the EQ2.exe file and it will ask you where it is that you would like to install the game to. Either keep the default location or Browse to the location of your choice. Please let us know how that works out for you and we'll see what we can do if you continue to have issue.

The selection Reinstall The Game downloads a file named EQ2.exe which reinstalls itself into the desired directory. Downloading the Trial however runs the patcher, which is reinstalling the game at this time. Check the file for Reinstall The Game as it isn't working for me.

I didn't test the trial download but as stated I did test the Reinstall EQ2 link, which will download the EQ2-US.zip file which contains the EQ2.exe file. Again, you can choose where ever you like to download and extract the zip file. If it's automatically choosing a location for you then that has to do with where you have your browser pre-set to download files to in which case you would have to change that setting to your liking.

It doesn't matter where I direct the file to, it will check files, update the first time and when I hit play, it just goes to a black screen and then I get an error message. No way does it take near long enough to download all the files.

C:Documents and Settingsownerapplication datasony online entertainmentinstalled gameseverquest II Streaming

When I go to owner there is no application data listed so I can't delete what's not there. Any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried using the station launcher instead? The streaming launcher is nive fore getting directly into the game, but it is relatively new and you may have better luck with the station launcher. You can download that program here:

http://launcher.station.sony.com/
