Copy "Play the Fae" files to main EQ2 directory to speed up update?

I just installed the game on my laptop after a long time away.The update is going to take almost 600 hours.I have the game files (albeit from about a year ago) on my desktop. I also have the "Play the Fae" files on my desktop.Could I speed up the update by copying the main directory AND the Play the Fae directory over to my laptop?Are the Play the Fae files compatible with the main game? Would it work? Would it save time downloading if I did this?

The Play the Fae trial was created some time ago and many of the files would have to be updated, so it probably won't affect your download time that much. What kind of internet connection do you have?  If it's high-speed (such as DSL or cable), it may just a simple matter of disabling programs that will bottleneck your connection, such as firewalls, P2P connections, BitTorrent, etc. Disabling and/or uninstalling these should free up your bandwidth.Also, if you have a newer machine with Vista, you may need to set the compatibility to where it will work properly.  Try these steps:<a href="http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bin/soe.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=17385" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://help.station.sony.com/cgi-bi...p?p_faqid=17385</a>I hope this helps you.
