View Full Version : there should be more infany rewards for solo vs group and less for group vs solo

<p>here is wha ti have noticed since my toon Iwarden SOLO's almost always even though i win most fights 1v1 even agaist people 6-7 lvls higher then me as long as they are not a furry or wizy.. my problem is that i cant keep ranks due to loosing ranks from being attacked by groups or raids of greys... some how it seems like i loose more infany due to they are greys.. i know i am still lvl 23 and still in the range of t2 super twink raid groups but come on why when i kill 4-6 out of the 20 people attacking me do i end up still loosing a rank or loosing more infany then gained</p><p>here is what i think would be fair and keep things balance NO NERFS PLEASE..</p><p>first if you are being attacked by a group infany should be x2 for each person you kill  and  - x4 for each member of the raid group that dies</p><p>now im not talking about doing this for say like a group of 2 or 3 im talking about atleast when its 1-5 or more... doing this would not stop they raid ganking because hey its pvp, but it would allow more risk VS rewards for both sides..</p><p>now if nobody likes it i wont care because i guess im on of the few people who will not cry over being ganked due to its part of the game. i would group but some how i always get stuck in noob groups and it seems like they suck me down to there lvl IMO</p><p>well please dont flame if you have any idea's to add or want to tweak my idea please post so by the time the new expansion comes out we can get a fix for PVP other then removing lvl locks</p>

<p>I agree 100%</p><p>It seems Im only ever killed while soloing by groups of players. When its one on one, I usually win or they run...</p><p>I think a change like this would help to make infamy a little more meaningful.</p>

You already get barely any infamy when you kill a single person and you're in a group, while you lose an absolute TON when you're killed. Don't encourage even more people to just go around solo on scouts.

<p>The entire infamy system is a farce anyway.  You can even get infamy off killing a defenseless player that is mentored down.  You can get infamy knocking someone off of a cloud landing pad and they fall to their death.  You can get infamy throwing in a single attack on someone just before they die that is 60 lvls higher than you are.  You can HT someone, evac and camp out and come back 15 minutes later and do it again and get credit for it.  Its a lousy system and we all know it!  </p><p>Please, /feedback your issues.  Let those in charge of the game development know how unhappy you are with their crappy title system.</p><p>What your suggestion will only help to fuel singling out players.  No one should be singled out for execution just because of a lousy title they have 'stuck' to the front of their name.  I can see it now, two hard hitters target 1 person in a group, kill that one person and evac.  Rinse and Repeat.  It should not be rewarded or encouraged, but alas IT IS even now!   </p>

titles need to be removed or title system needs to be re vamped. completely.even people sporting a high title say this system is dumb.

There was a similar thread not too long ago called "Diminishing Rewards".  That thread seemed to take a fairly mathematical look at how to modify the fame calculation along these lines, so check it out if you're interested.

Why do you continue to play op classes then? Roll a solo guardian if what you say is true.

to OP...There is more rewardif u solo a group u get 6 solo fame bumps.. if u kill someone and you are in a group of 6, u get 1/6

But so should the punishment if you lose - that is what the topic is about. It is only fair to lose less infamy to an orange than to a green, similarly it seems fair to lose less infamy if you are killed by a group, or a raid.  </p><p>Edit: True, classes are imbalanced, but this won't fix it. Two wrongs don't make a right... </p><p>Edit2: Just to clarify the above. Someone said we don't deserve encouragement for soloing because scouts are overpowered in 1v1. Well, the point is that scouts are not the only ones to solo... what about a soloing necro, ganked by a group of scouts? </p>
