Tradeskill and for that matter Adventuring Vitility.....when RoK goes live where will vitality be? 0% or 100%? I was never at the tradeskill lvl cap in the past when the lvl cap was increased so I have no clue what happened and I just can't remember what the adventuring vitality did.

Nothing at all happens to your vitality. It's there and it's yours to spend, at whatever amount it's at, till it's gone.

Right. You don't suddenly get a full (or empty) vitality bank because an expansion launched

On a side note: When I started over my toon's tradeskill a few weeks back, his vitality was set to 0%. I was a Sage and had not made anything in many weeks so I know he should have been 100% vitality, but upon switching to Carpenter he didn't have any.

Not sure I'm getting my question across right....right now my UI shows me at lvl 70 TS with 0.00% exp earned to next level and 0.00% Vitality, I have been lvl 70 for a long time, on the 13th when I log in 2 mins after servers go live what will my UI show my Vitality at?

Another way to ask this is do you earn/keep your Vitality after you hit lvl cap?

Trying to plan out my crafting schedule for max exp gain for that mad dash to lvl 80...curse SOE for releasing an expansion during deer season.

If it resets to 0 when you switch it would make sense that it would be 0 at a lvl cap increase.....would be nice if you got 100% though, would make the aforementioned mad dash a little easier.

Tradeskill level did not mention anything about vitality, so I'm assuming that it is at 0%. I then logged into a character that is not maxed out (about 40/50 or so) and both adventure and tradeskill vitality xp bars said that I had 100% vitality. - I'm still using default UI.

So it looks like once you hit the cap you get stripped of all vitality, probably a remnant of not earning xp so you don't need vitality -although I'm not sure about how vitality would factor into AA if you are not at 100 for AAxp.

I heard this is how it has been in the past with level cap increases.

If you are at cap, just like the past 2 times the level cap was raised, you will start out with the vitality you have (0 if you were capped before the expansion release) and then accrue it as normal. This is both tradeskill and adventure. In addition, if you were capped on achievements and did additional things that usually grant achievement, that is also not waiting for you in any way, that potential achievement experience is lost. Same for guilds and guild experience.
Yep. That's one reason I'm at 69.9 or so carpenter... that way I'll have TS vitality + potion love for massive TSing hehe. Of course, I'm still going to have to harvest like a nut...

Till the start of RoK the vitality limit is 100% or enough vitality to hit level 70. If you are at level 70 you don't need any XPs to hit max level => 0 vita. If you are 69.99% you have enough vita to get the last 0.01% with double XP. If you are level 67 you can have 100% because the vita will run out before you hit level 70.

With all the previous expansions we started with 0% so no reason to expect any different …. But one can always dream :-p On the other hand crafting exp is so easy it makes little difference if one crafts with or without vitality.

For the KoS launch we didn't have zero, but rather about 7% or so - the amount of vitality as would have been accrued from about an hour after server down to when servers launched. I assume this is when the server software was actually patched, and thus when the cap was physically tuned to be 70 instead of 60, but we can't independently verify that.
