Patch day

<p>Is today a patch day?</p><p>In the future is there a place to find out in advance when a patch day will happen? I cant seem to find any notes on that.</p>

Yes, there is a scheduled maintenance downtime today at 7:00 am. It's estimated to be about 1 hour to complete.

What schedule? The only scheduled downtime I can find for US servers is Nov 5 at 9pm and for European servers Nov 6th at 5am. Thought you all were finally throwing us 3rd shifters a bone but I guess not...joy.

<p>Ok what the heck? No patch notes, no nothing.. but the Login is DOWN.</p><p>Trying Login Server: #1......#2.....#3... all the way through 9, goes back through it about 3 times and says "Oh they must be busy"........ no, they're down.</p><p>When are we going to be able to log in? ETA? C'mon, even a crappy ETA?</p>

yeah, I kind of played hooky from work today since I stayed up late last night to get every last bit of bonus XP I could...was hoping to be able to game today...but /sigh

It takes an hour+ to turn off 50% bonus XP?The 50% bonus XP was supposed to happen from midnight to midnight. This server downtime is 7 hours too late if it's purpose is to turn off the XP.And this is 2007. It's not that hard to write code that works from a certain time to a certain time. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I'm guessing it's a LoN bugfix. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/2e207fad049d4d292f60607f80f05768.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

Each named server will have subsidiary boxes in which various zones and such reside.  It would be fun to hear from SOE just how big the server farm really is.And - ALWAYS - when you are swapping software around, no matter how hard you try, the hardware from box to box ALWAYS differs some and can unpredictably affect the way the software runs on different boxes. Well now the servers are locked instead of down. Maybe that's a good sign.It's neither locked, nor down, nor up. It's in a state of karmic limbo.Well this is not a good sign. My launcher downloaded a new update, but the servers are locked again. Looking like a 2 hour downtime again.

All day i've tried to log on, and it tries to connect and gets to #9 or what ever and then says its busy, anyone know whats up?
