Sup all!

Love the warlock class... I have a 70 zerker on najena, so big fan of AoE dps. I have an assassin as well, so have the single target dps. My question is because I play on PvP servers, where a FP aligned warlock doesn't have access to Pallies.

Just from what I've seen, the only tank class that was able to hold agro from a good warlock was a Pally (Amends). Leveling wise, would you be better being Qeynos based or Freeport based... cause I'm thinking it's going to get old poping manashield to stay alive in exp groups... but I enjoy the FP city over Q.

Your thoughts?

At high level, a well played Guardian or Berserker can hold group aggro from a Warlock (Guardian has Moderate, Zerker has high AE DPS). Note I say well played, though. An average one will occasionally struggle. A bad one won't have a prayer and will usually start crying that it's your fault. A decent Shadowknight can also hold aggro pretty well, especially with a Troubador in the group.

In short, any tank - except Brawlers, who are genuinely screwed without lots of hate buffing in the group or a huge gear/spell level discrepancy between them and the Warlock - can hold an offensively-specced Warlock going all-out, but Warlocks are definitely the hardest class to hold aggro against, and will show up bad (in terms of skill or gear) tanks like no other class.

The reason Amends is highly rated is it's the ultimate in no-skill-required aggro control. A Paladin can be the most godawful tank in the game but if they have Amends on a Warlock, problem solved. So you'll never meet a Paladin that can't control aggro, but for the other classes you'll occasionally (often, even) meet tanks that lack the skill or gear to keep aggro when you go all out. Doesn't mean they can't as a class.

At low level, though, just screw it and hope the healers are good. If you can put out enough DPS the mobs are dead before they're an issue. If you can't put out enough DPS to survive and still pull aggro, a) you're a liability and b) the group sucks.
