View Full Version : How to remove mezz if you are already mezzed?

I just had a situation when I mezzed solo assasin (I was solo also), and started to run away (I did not nuke him and my pet was in passive mode). So the guy standed there for 1-2 sec, than casted something (I heard some sound coming from him) and he cured my mezz. I also verified with the logs to be sure that nothing hit him. Logs only say that the mezz was removed and nothing else.

Now, I know there are some potions that give you immunity to some control effects, but AFAIK they must be used BEFORE you get mezzed. Basically on my chars I find that nothing works when I am mezzed (aside of special skills some classes, have that work even when mezzed).

Any ideas what was that ????!!!11oneone

Doesn't that Bristlebane blessing cure mez? Maybe it was that he used. But weird that it didn't show up on the log perhaps....

Yep, nothing in logs - but most likely, you are right. This miracle can be used while mezzed.

[Removed for Content], miracles are so poorly balanced... Devs created miracle that make any classes completely immune to chanters for 1 minute (Mischief Maker). At the same time, there are no miracle that a chanter could use to become immune to scouts (well, their damage) for 1 minute. All I found was like 10 hit damage absorb, this is ridiculous. Takes scout 2-3 sec to make those hits.

IMO miracles should be more balanced. I myself do not use miracles because I consider it a cheap way to win, however I'd like to be able to counter other person's miracle with my own miracle, in case they decide to use one. And right now, there are no miracles available for chanters that could counter Mischief Maker miracle. This sucks.

How to remove mezz if you are already mezzed?

Take damage (from PvP or PvE)

Group friend cure you

Against a good enchanter (especially in low level zones) I will tag a PvE mob who will break any mez effects.

Potions will fix any stifles/stuns and Roots.

Best to kill them fast imo, because any good one will own you if you give them any opportunity

For some reason, even when I know they used a miracle or blessing, it doesnt show up on my combat logs either. But it was probably a bristlebane spell.

manastone can be used while mezzed, it casuses damage and breaks mez.

I know you said it was an assassin, but just thought I would add defiliers can naturally break mez, just incase you ever encounter that.

Better add Monks/Bruisers to that mezz breaking list

Ok so im not a complete waste, there are some items and such i've seen with cure mez while mezzed effects. For example (not applicable b/c of lvl but still) the matron's wristband thing that you get if you do the iksar quests in FP give is castable while stunned, mezzed etc and breaks all those effects for i think lvl 14 and below, i think i've seen some higher lvl ones with same effect. Also I might add SK to thta list of ppl who prevent CC and whatnot (death march ftw?!?!?!?)

I loved it with my lowbie bruiser Some people even debated here on forums that this is a "special feature" of Manastone made by devs on purpose.

But looks like devs don't agree with this statement, because it's fixed now
