Defiler+Wizard?

How does a Defiler and Wizard duo work out for those who have experienced it? My friends wizard is set in stoneand I'm debating going the Defiler route for the wards and extra dmg. Any suggestions on this?

<p>It will work but it is quite difficult</p><p> I would recommend a Brigant or Swashi perhaps a Shadowknight or Bruiser damagespeced but a Wizard can be difficult due to their paper armor because they are going to tank. </p>

if he's stuck on wizard. I think the best class you could play to complement him would be an illusionist. Illusionists rock at root/nuke plus they got mez and mana regen.

<p>I Dual box this combo from time to time and it works fairly well. The wards normally keep the wiz alive long enough for him to kill everything. The defilers damage is so low that it is better to use him to debuff rather an damage in this combo.</p><p>Main downside is that the defiler debuffs Disease and Poison and the Wiz only does Heat and Cold damage.</p>

<p>If you can get him to change his mind =) see if you can get him to do necromancer. Necro works quite well with defiler from what I've seen so far (I've a 41 defiler, husband's got a 45 necro).</p><p>If he's absolutely set in stone with the wizard, I would have to second the illusionist (or coercer if you want to go that route). Either of those would have the power regen wizards so adore and could supply a pet if they wanted to as well. I know at least illusionists can be set up to do quite decent damage themselves. Plus they have crowd control abilities if you get extras.</p>

I use this combo regularly and it works very well but my Wizy is at the high end of the level difference for grouping and the Defiler at the low end. Still works very well mentored and just made it so that i don't have to mentor anymore. So i am expecting to see an exp increase for the defiler Though at this time i have turned off combat exp for the wizy. The wizy has well rounded stats so that she can take a hit and still live for a bit and i think that that helps alot. The other thing is the wizy can take mobs out faster then when i group my defiler with my conjy. I would recomend if your going to be doing group target encounters to be a warlock/defiler combo. or better yet do a Wizy/War encounter this worked out very well for my brother and I.Good luck with what ever you do.

<p>RL friend and me have tried shitloads of duo's before we finally hit upon the best.</p><p>Defiler+Warlock beats all imo he has propogation manashield and ward proccing items im decently geared but nowhere near the best (ie zero fth EH TNT MMIS items)</p><p> As a combo tho we rock hard he tanks better than most tanks tbh we have duod HoF comfortably what we will be like in T8 we will have to see but till 70 it owns.</p>
