The never-ending patch?

I renewed my subscription yesterday around 6 or 7 PM, buying the $39 bundle that includes the original plus the expansions... I've been downloading the game or patches ever since.  3 times already the "estimated time" has been down to between 4 and 6 minutes remaining, only to end up back at several hours to go.  It also jumps up from any number, like from 3 hours to 7 hours to 10 hours or whatever...  Normally I would just attribute this to a slow mirror or something, but this has been going on for more than 22 hours now.  I have no idea if it's downloading as it should.  I know it's not just stalled out because the orange progress bar continues to move through files.  How long should I expect to wait to d/l this game so I can start playing?  I hate to ask in the forums but Sony customer support, in its wisdom, is not open on the weekends.

i am having the same problem, just reinstalled the game and its been updating all night and the time has gone from 6 hrs last night to 47 hrs left when i woke up, i canceled and restarted the updating and its slowly doing the same thing, it started at 2 hrs and now its at 8 hrs and counting, what do i do?

I read somewhere else on the forums about something called the "Station Launcher."  So, I downloaded that and used it instead of the regular launchpad program.  I still had around 3 hours of download time left, but once it was done I got into the game no problem.you can get it here:<a href="http://launcher.station.sony.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://launcher.station.sony.com/</a>

i have the same problem, but i really didnt want to download the beta launcher.  If i sit here and watch the patcher, and everytime it stops...click cancil and download again, it starts downloading again.  I have been haveing this problem for years, and have just sat here for hours and hours and hours watching the stream and everytime it stops, i cancil and restart the download.  Any sugestions?
