Hello wardens. I am planning on spec'ing my Warden for melee in pvp. I am wondering if I should focus on both Wisdom and Strength in my gear, or if I should put my main focus on Wisdom alone. Also, are there any other stats that are helpful for a melee fighting warden? Thank you.

Yes wis and str, but sta and agi are important too. Physical mitigation and a good weapon dont hurt either.

But being able to adapt to the situation is probably the most important stat for pvp.

ok i dont know what lvl you are but me i have been a mele spec warden since lvl 19 and i am now lvl 23 i am locked and i stayed at 22 for 3 months here is what i did i have 32 AA's so i put 5 in each CA 8 in STR and 4 in roots.. i also loaded myself up with 2 +10 STA items and went all T3 MC gear also i did load each pice i could adorn with the +20 to healing.. wich that is almost a must for a solo mele warden if you want to PVP in PVE i can take stuff 2-3 lvls higher then me without even having to pop a heal.. in pvp unless im fighting more then one guy most of the time if they are only 2 lvls higher then me no need to pop more then the pre dot heal...

one big mistake some peopel make is putting AA's in wisdom there is no need you get pleanty of wisdom each lvl and also wisdom only goeas up 4 points per AA so it is a waste...

also go 1hand and shield unless you find a great fable 2hander that makes up for your loss in mit.. once you do that or if you ahve more AA's then i do get masters in your big dot heals and group heals that with the +20 healing adorns you use less power to heal more...

just watch out yes you can jsut press the same 4 ca's over and over again but we have long timers so what i do is once i use up my 4 ca's i root and stand back intill atleast 2 more ca's are ready... if you PVP and are agaist a scout dont stand back to far stay just far enough that they cant hit you with mele but also close enough that they cant bow shot you...

but if you have more AA's to spend start with filling up your STA with 8 points then 8 in agi or atleast fill up your roots and snares

I'd go STA first even as a melee Warden, and STR second. The previous poster is right - except for maybe dropping a few points into the first bubble in the WIS line, it really doesn't have much for you meleeing. Not choosing WIS goes counterintuitive to everything we know about healing though, LOL..so it's hard to not do it.

If you are PvPing, STA is a must - STR second (if you are doign the druid tree first, warden second).

My 2,
