this is in NO way an advertisement for this company, but i was looking for myself for a lappy that would be able to play EQ2 decently (somewhere around balanced video settings, give or take) and not cost me an arm and a leg.

CLICK ME!!!

this system you can buy for only 599 US, AND it can play EQ2 at a decent clip. granted you are going to have to piece together other parts to make it a useable system, but for those of us who are not afriad to upgrade video cards or hard drives in our desktops, it really is not too tough to finish this system up, if you know how to use jeweler's screwdrivers and can keep track of all the little itsy-bitsy screws.

if you dont like DIY projects like this, then you can ALWAYs use the custom system configurator drop downs that are also on that page.

that company also has other notebooks, some of which are cheaper, but the cheaper ones would not run the game well, or worse, not at all.

heck, if you plan to use xp with it instead of vista, use the dropdown for the "intel turbo memory" and select the option to not add it to the system. you can save yourself an additional 35 bucks. that memory is flash memory designed specifically for vista's readyboost, so if you install xp, its kinda pointless to have it in there.

in short, yes, virginia, you CAN have a cheap laptop that can play EQ2 decently.
