As soon as you hit level 10 you are a target, enjoy.

Not in T2... T2 pvp isn't a try: at T2 its gank or be ganked.. move up to 25 for some starting fun and hunt in StormHold.. or maybe 35 and hit Enchanted Lands......

For first toon, don't lock at all, just do as many quests and get as much AAs and stuff as possible, just grind to T7 or 8 ASAP. Use first toon to make money and obtain items for next toon.

Nyarlath - 70 wizard

Venekor server

Lock your exp now if you want to pvp at t2 (lv12) as you can wear mastercrafted until you can afford/or want Legendary or Fabled gear. T2 pvp is plentiful and a good fun place to learn the ropes. You dont need to level to t7 to make money. You can farm the newbie zones for masters that generally sell for 50g-1pp. All my t2 toons made their own money by doing this and crafting.Once you have all the masters/best gear, stay below 20 till you get enough faction with the Lucanic knights to buy pvp gear. Once you have and want to level up do so by completing quests with you combat exp still turned off so to get as much aa as you level. Then at 20 buy the pvp gear and level as you choose and at a rate you want. A very simplified reply and there have been more detailed threads else where to look up, but hope it helps.Happy ganking <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

The best way to roll a new toon is to lock lvl at lvl 1, after locking the next thing to do is to run around and hit all the expolation dings you can find, especialy the ones on the way to places that you need to be to get L & L quests. By doing this you will cut out the exp that you will get by discovering new zones, this is important because the ratio is bad between aa/exp is so bad. so get your dings everywhere till you hit lvl 10.

If you really want to twink right start out in the opposing city that you want to wind up in. Most twinkers don't know this but while you betray to the city you want to you get paid like you are doing writts, so you gain even more aa and while you are a part of the other city you will have the exploration dings from hard places to get thus increasing your aa at 10+. I just rolled a new warden last week, he is now lvl 14 with 16 aa.

I always lock at lvl 10...then i run around to all the t2 pvp spots and use the discovery ding as part of my exp to lvl-16-17 where I am gonna lock to pvp for a while.

If you want cash, its probably quicker to make a tradeskiller that is your primary forager and tradeskill them and forage them through t6. Honestly, t2 forages often bring as much as the higher forages, but if you have a t4 or 5 crafter foraging in t2, you get more rares. Master farming works as well, as the highly sought after masters can make you in just one big drop. (you lock your forager/crafter at lvl 1 or 2 for 2 reasons...1) so you can't get ganked while foraging and 2) a locked low level is a bit easier to craft, because of how power use and regen works crafting, than an equal level adventurer/crafter.

I heard the rumor about dropping combat exp locking. I am perusing here trying to find out if its a jokester or true. I can't really see why they would do it. T2 locked pvping is a bit of a cult thing. A large portion of the folks will leave if locking is dropped. It would kill master farming, but its not as if there is a plethera of affordable masters out there right now.

I am back in EQ Part Deaux after a 9 month foray into other MMORG's. It is 95% for t2 locked pvp. If it goes, dunno if I'll stay. I suppose it will depend on the populations in t3, t4 etc. My first reaction is they are so dismal, what would be the point?
