I am only level 25 but I have not used any of my AA points because I am scared of making a mistake. So I am here to ask for help if possible. I tend to solo and do a lot of questing outside of heroics but I want to be group friendly. I have hear different opinions on getting charm or not and also opinions on the AGI line. As a lower level Coercer trying to level up what would everyone here recommend?

Get a free respec card from achievement council which allows you to respec each line 5 times - this is more than enough to try everything out.

The agi line is the one line you can't really go wrong with. Just about every enchanter I know of has the agi line down to perpetuality. The subclass tree is a bit trickier, but you won't regret putting points into the coercion line.

As stated, you can get a 5-use class and subclass respec card from the chap downstairs in the mage building in North Freeport. So you get 5 free changes. You can also buy changes, with the cost resetting to free after 1 month. In RoK, you will have the ability to toggle between two AA specs through a room item. So don't worry.

If you solo, put your first 5 into the Charm boosting AA line (coercer specific) and get a M1 charm upgrade. Then check the good pet guide at http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Coercer_Pets

Yes, agi line is generally useful for fast casting. For grouping and soloing as you level up, WIS is nice for the +subj/focus bonus and faster messes. Subj also affects charm I went down the WIS line first with enough points to max the subj/focus bonus.

In the coercer tree, after Charm, the coercive healing line is nice for dps, while the thought snap line is good for grouping. Manaward is more raid oriented, you generally have enough regen for a group anyway. After RoK, you get 70 AA to spend here so can have all three. Some people like the debuff coercer line for the big mental debuff end skill.

Have fun!
