I can't seem to get back on the UK servers.

Hello <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I quit playing EQ2 about a year ago.  I was playing on Runnyeye.  Anyway, I downloaded the game again this week, from the patcher on the Play the Fae screen (had deleted it when I quit), reactivated my account, signed in and a lot more stuff patched.  But I can't seem to get the UK English or US English to work on the EULA screen.  It's just locked out so I can't bring the drop down box down.  Also locked out is my "Character select unavailable"   under the play button on the next screen.  My characters show up in the large space to the bottom right where it losts your characters there but I can't log on one.  If I push play it just sends me to the make new character screen and a choice of the US servers.  So, I did 3 complete file scans now, restarted after each.   I still can't get the drop down to allow me to choose UK English.    Any ideas how to fix it?  It worked fine last year.

<p> I'd like to know how you resolved this problem. I have got the option to select each servers. But when I select the EU servers to play on it will download the patch. Then the " Update " button will go grey but say the download is complete. underneath is a button that says " Download " which downloads an EQ2 ini file. Then it just goes back to a grey update button and the download is complete. endless cycle.</p><p> How do I get past this so i can go back to playing on my characters on the EU servers? I am running Vista. I have it running as admin and I've tried running it as Service Pack 2 XP.</p>

Had the same problem for as the OP. For the record I solved it by using the "Reinstall EQ2" options of the main website. It downloads EQ2.exe. Using that to launch the game and not PlaytheFae.exe allowed me to select the EU servers.
