Does anyone have the location of a good post explaining the different types of + items, stackability, DoTs vs Nukes, etc?

Thanks!

As of the last change, it's really pretty simple. All +spell modifiers apply directly to the initial impact of any spell that is not an item effect or 100% "on spell" effect. (i.e. Frigid Gift)Maximum amount cap occurs when you have doubled the base effect of the spell. There is no standard cap value.

Thanks Kay...I took a 6 month hiatus and just recently returned. I'm starting to acquire these items now and wanted to make sure stacking them was practical.

By "base effect" do you mean: A dot hits for 150-250. You can add in +damage items that double up until the base...i.e. (150x2) = +250 spell damage added to the base making the spell hit for 400-500?

Any more than that and you'll be over the cap for that spell (but can still add more to benefit some other spell that does 3000 total.)

Also all AEs have the amount of the + spell damage divided by 3, as well as triggered effects such as a limited number of triggers to a reactive type spell aka wizard IceShield is a 3 trigger damage shield, but how SoE handles +spell damage here is 1/3 of the + spell damage you have is added to each trigger, so if you have a spell that has more than 3 triggers then you will get a little extra out of the +spell damage. This works the same way as cleric reactive heals.
