A while back I posted results of a test with V’Ncenzi’s Voluminous Cape and its "Sages absorbtion" effect that was to proc on hostile spells. During that test over 7 minutes of battles produced no proc's of the cape leading me to state that debuffs must not count as hostile spells. I tested again over this past weekend and have indeed found the cape procing off of debufs. Either this has been fixed or I had an extreme streak of bad luck in the prior test. The proc rate is low due to mix of debufs and beneficial spells being cast, but seemed in line with what I'd expect this time.

The problem is the way procs work. As a Conjuror as well as a Mystic, I'm very familiar with proc mechanics. When you take something with a proc, I'll use Grizzfazzle's Mace for instance. It says it procs twice per minute on a successful hostile spell.Assuming there is no spell haste in effect (which really mucks the waters up) it will certainly proc twice per minute . . . assuming you cast CONSTANTLY. Unfortunately, that is impossible. Even just adding in the recovery times, you're already reducing your procs per minute, and then further throwing in maybe a little bit of lag . . . some healing . . . you're really lucky to get one proc per minute. Now, if you were a Conjuror, this is where I would start explaining the benefits of spell haste and casting chains, but you're not, so I won't.
